Good customer service at Righa Royal Hotel
I want to sincerely thank Mr. Sai for his outstanding service and dedication. Due to me an accidental booking error, our two rooms were booked on different floors. When I explained that my 73-year-old mother couldn’t stay alone, Mr. Sai personally stepped in to resolve the situation.
Mr Sai handled the case with great care and understanding, ensuring that we were accommodated at the same floor which is Peak Period in Kyoto. His empathy, professionalism, and quick action turned a potential challenge into a stress-free experience for us.

Location is a bit remote from the station and any convenience store, but service and cleanliness are great. The rooms have plenty of space.
Only one small issue is that they do not have onsite coin laundry, they only provide their own expensive laundry service.

Another great stay at the RHIGA Kyoto
We are repeat visitors to the RHIGA hotel in Kyoto. We love that the hotel is close to Kyoto Station but not too close. Staff are very efficient and friendly. The bell desk staff were very helpful arranging takyubin for our larger pieces of luggage to be transported to the RHIGA hotel in Osaka. Housekeeping staff were friendly and very thorough in freshening up our room each day. We love the breakfast buffet on the first floor and have stayed at this hotel enough to know when the restaurant is not as crowded.
I would like to see the complimentary shuttle bus hours expanded to start earlier than 9:00 am and ending later than 7:00 pm. Several hotel guests mentioned the same issue, wishing that the shuttle bus hours were expanded.
Still a great place to stay and we always recommend this hotel and the RHIGA hotel chain to our friends traveling to Japan.

We’ve stayed at the location in the past and liked the location being close to the Kyoto Station but not too close. The hotel is easily walkable to the station with Aeon Mall and Avanti Mall near the hotel and the train station.
We enjoyed to vast array of food available at the Kaza breakfast buffet. When the restaurant opened for breakfast at 6:30 am there was a really long line waiting to get in. Staff handled to line into the buffet well and the line moved quickly. Food was fresh, tasty and there was a wide variety of breakfast options to suit every taste. Our grandchildren, who are picky eaters, enjoyed themselves at the buffet the last time we stayed at the RHIGA Kyoto. One suggestion to reduce the lines would be to locate the egg station separately from the rest of the hot dishes. Still, we feel the staff hospitality and the hotels cleanliness is a big reason we continue to choose the RHIGA Hotel chain while staying in Japan either for business or leisure.

The staff was upmost professional. They are nice and helpful. Free shuttle bus from/to Kyoto was an excellent feature for the hotel. Daily house keeping was a welcome feature. The room was bigger than some of the Japanese hotel room. Unfortunately, the mattress on the bed sunk in the middle, which made it very difficult to rest and sleep. On top of it, the comforter in side kept sling on the ground because the case was too loose. I regretfully find this negates all other good things going for this property. Hence the average rating.
