Annual Chicago Trip
We normally stay elsewhere, but our usual accommodation was being less than accommodating, so we found the L7, formerly the Hotel Monaco. We booked two suites for my wife and four kids. The rooms were really large. The kids loved them. One of the bathroom doors was a barn door that kept coming off its bottom guide and was difficult to open and close. There was an incident with the valet in the first day. In the morning when I texted for my vehicle, it took 14 minutes to retrieve despite receiving a message that it would be ready in five minutes. That afternoon, I came down 9 minutes after requesting my vehicle and they had already put it away again. I let the valet know they need to be consistent in their messaging and approach. We were on a pretty tight agenda, and waiting extra time for the second delivery was less than ideal. Other than that, we had a great time amd the kids really liked the property.

This accommodation surprised me with the size of the room and bathroom. The hotel is close to the main attractions of Chicago, and easy to access due to the proximity of the subway and other means of transportation. Helpful and pleasant receptionists

Excellent service
Very well appointed boutique hotel. Loved the decor. The service was excellent. The front desk folks were very warm and welcoming. The drink station is a very nice touch. I was pleasantly surprised that the manager sent up a holiday card and complimentary snack after we checked in.

Better than Ever
Newly renovated, the rooms are great and even feature a high quality air purifier in each room. The staff is super friendly and it’s great to see familiar faces from when it was a Kimpton - with Antonio and Jovan. Will always stay here when coming back to Chicago for business and fun.
