Disappointment with lack of accuracy
Disappointed with change in ownership without notification. Changed happened the day we checked in. I reserved adults only and children were in the hotel. Difficult with elderly parents. Beach was terrible. No transparency that ocean is full of rocks and algae. I would have selected another hotel especially on juanillo beach. I have lost faith and trust with hotels.com. Not the first issue with hotels descriptions. Also will never rent a car through your website

The cap Cana area has different hotels. They all share the same beach area. This hotel does not have a beach area on their premises. It looks like a tsunami destroyed that area. We had to walk 3 minutes and leave our stuff in front of the Ziza Hyatt hotel area ( no chairs for us because we were not at that hotel. The Margaritaville is not a 5 stars at all. It’s a regular hotel but the food is AMAZING. The employers are Amazing. The pool is good and when we went the pools were available not that many people which was great for us. We stayed at the adults only one. The night life is over by 12pm. The pool closes by 7 pm which is not fair considering the lack of beach. Would I go back there? No

Compare to your stay from 2 years ago this hotel is declining. We stayed at the adults only villa and even there although housekeeping was good we had to ask the staff to clean the pool and vacuum the rugs . No more turndown service. Some of the restaurants like Landshark and burger place by the beach had horrible food, more like fast food. No more beer brewing as advertised. Beach was beyond terrible. No facilities at the beach like a bathroom. the beach was abundant most of the time. the clientele was loud, obnoxious and did not respect privacy of other guests. Kids were brought to the adults only pool at the villas. On a positive side most of the staff were very polite with an exception of the front dest concierge supervisor. Our butler Sandro was excellent. As for expedia perks we did not receive anything for the platinum tier. I asked for an early check in well in advance explaining in the email that I broke my foot but it was not honored as they claimed it took a long time to prepare a villa. When we arrived to the villa we discovered that most of the villas were not occupied most of the week. Also , we had a second floor villa which was hard for me to climb the stairs with a broken foot but no one offered an upgrade to the first floor which was also one of the perks of the platinum tier. The bottom line is : for this price you can find much better hotels in Punta cana.

I was very disappointed with this property. Overall it is clean and the staff are friendly however I paid for an ADULT resort and it was not!!! There was an adult pool that did not allow children . The restaurants allowed all the guest from both resorts! Adult and children! As I said I paid for an adult resort so I wouldn’t have to listen to children scream while I’m eating breakfast, lunch or dinner! If you’re looking for a kid free resort do not go here! It is not was it says! There were family’s checked in to the adult resort and when guest complained they were asked to their rooms not the family!!!! Unacceptable!

The property itself was great and having Manny as our bar tender in the villas. Only things I would change is having more snack options available and not having the concierge people hassling you the whole time you are there to listen to a meeting on time shares.. It was terrible. They called our phone and texted us multiple times each day. They would also follow you around the resort too. Manny made the whole trip for us!!

It is advertised as adult only and every single day I had dinner/lunch/breakfast with children screaming around me. Unacceptable. THIS IS NOT AN ADULT ONLY RESORT Also, the romantic dinner was in a normal restaurant. Nothing romantic about that. And, I told them way ahead of time I was celebrating my anniversary and nothing really was done. The worker make that place. Without the workers and their kindness, this places would be terrible.
