6/10 Good

Very helpful staff at the front desk, quick check-in and check out. Breakfast is good if your stay a day or two, but then it is all the same every day, coffee machine is not the greatest, and the restaurant staff is keeping the hotel guests corralled in a certain area, which gets smaller and smaller as time is approaching to 10 am by putting "reserved" signs on tables, so you can't sit just anywhere you want. The air-conditioning units were super noisy, which made it hard to sleep. But mainly the area around the hotel is shifty looking. There are some local drunks that love to sit in front of the restaurant, so it doesn't add to the hotel's overall attractiveness.

I truly felt the "Amor" at Hotel Amare! Luka and Marko genuinely cared that I experienced the BEST that Zadar had to offer. I had a poor encounter with a Taxi Driver and they made sure that I was NOT taken advantage of again! The Breakfast at the lovely Restaurant was DELICIOUS and plentiful! Perfect location too!!!

The breakfast was excellent, the restaurant was cozy BUT The music is playing way too loud. Couldn't have a normal conversation. Suggested fix: Acoustic boards for the ceiling and soft materials for the walls.

The hotel has recently had a remodel that was clearly done on the cheap side. The split unit air conditioning is not sufficient. The room was small. You could hear the people above walking around. They tout free parking. They in fact have no parking. You must find it where you can on the street with cars parked so close you can hardly get in and out of the car. On the bright side, the included breakfast was the best “included” breakfast we have ever had.

Nice hotel with a great bar & restaurant. Staff were friendly but not overly welcoming. Room spacious & clean. Area surrounding hotel gives you a feeling of being in an unsafe area but comfortably walked around after dark alone. 15min walk to Old Town so not terrible but if hotel restaurant is unavailable which it was the night I wanted to go & they hadn’t informed guests then you’re walking at least 10mins. Stay was fine for what I needed.

In a sketchy part of town, and impossible to find. Google will make you crazy trying to locate the place, and they really do not have parking nearby. Better to stay in the old city.

Absolutely loved the hotel, but there were very few places to eat unless you walked to the old town which was about quite a walk. The restaurant at the hotel was wonderful, though, and we wished we had eaten all our meals there. Beautiful hotel and restaurant.

I recently stayed here and had a mixed experience. The front desk staff, especially Natalie, were incredibly helpful. I ran into a significant issue with my rental car from Alamo and couldn’t get through to them from my phone. Natalie went above and beyond, making numerous calls to get the problem sorted and arrange a replacement. Although my short stay in Zadar was somewhat disrupted, her efforts allowed me to continue my trip with minimal further delay. The breakfast provided was very good, and the rooms were comfortable. The only downside was finding parking at the back of the property, which wasn’t straightforward, but I understand that navigating parking can be part of the travel experience. Natalie’s exceptional assistance made a big difference, and the rest of the stay was pleasant.

Yes - this hotel is surrounded by run down apartments and parking is tricky (but free) but it’s a short walk to the waterfront and old town and we never felt unsafe walking. The location is great. The basic rooms are extremely tiny so there is only enough space to walk around the bed and opening 2 large suitcases is tight at the foot of the bed. The 2 twin mattresses are pushed together and are very firm. There is basically no counter space for toiletries but some space above the toilet on the other side of the bathroom. It was clean and quiet with blackout blinds and curtains. There is no mini fridge or coffee/tea maker in the standard room. What we loved about this hotel was the outstanding breakfast with a very large variety of healthy options and literally everything you could imagine wanting to eat.. The only complaint is the coffee is terrible. The staff were also extremely accommodating, friendly and professional. I would recommend staying in an apartment room type option if you want decent space and coffee/tea maker and mini fridge.
