Excellent hotel
I arrived at the Boathouse on a freezing cold evening where the welcome couldn’t have been any warmer. The car park appears to be secure and resembles a small multi-storey that’s barrier controlled. The description of a pub with rooms doesn’t do the establishment any justice as the rooms are of excellent proportions, modern, well furnished, clean and extremely comfortable. If I was to be really picky, the kettle was too big as it was impossible to fill it from the basin in bathroom due to their respective sizes!
Dinner in the restaurant was good and the menu on offer was a little different to the usual fare and competitively priced. Exemplary staff who were well trained, charming and efficient.
Breakfast, once again, was good although it would have been nice to have been offered a second coffee. The young waiter was busy, well mannered and efficient although I thought wear shorts and t-shirt wasn’t really suitable.
Definitely a hotel worth making a note of for my next foray to Surrey.
