Booked the place as the photos had a boutique hotel vibe. Turned out to be a restaurant with rooms on top. Staff were friendly/helpful. Room was comfortable. However, there was a loud music/dance venue just behind the hotel on the Friday night that kept us up late.

Beautiful building. Terrace room was lovely. So close to shops, cafes, botanical gardens etc complimentary breakfast was good. The room would have benefited from extra towels, much nicer in house bathroom supplies (soap etc), in house movies and a stocked mini bar. A guest information book about the building, room and area would have been great too. We loved our stay.

The Terrace Hotel is adorable. ON this particular day a staff member exited unexpectedly. Check-in was a shambles ~ no one to ‘welcome us’ or provide a key for well over an hour. All staff members were in the bar and I along with another couple were simply told to ‘wait.’ We did exactly as we were told. The strange thing is that the check-in process took under a minute. If a staff person had left the bar, checked our identification, handed over the key, we could have scurried to our rooms and returned to enjoy the bar atmosphere, too. The bar duty manager provided the three of us w/a complimentary beverage which was kind. They will continue to struggle until they get additional staff on board. Lovely spot and location. P. 6/10 Good

Overall our stay at the Terrace hotel was a little disappointing. The smell in the hotel room was horrible. The air was stuffy, as there was no way to open the windows. The view was underwhelming. The location was far from convenient. The lighting in the bathroom was not sufficient to do makeup. The positives would be the soft clean bed, deep bath and very friendly accommodating staff. The complimentary breakfast was delcious and well cooked, however, a little disappointed to being paying extra for a cappucino, and bacon with our eggs.

This is a beautiful building in a lovely part of city. We enjoyed our stay but there are definitely things they could improve on. Bathroom was not very clean, sheets used as doona covers and most unfortunately the breakfast was terrible! Instant coffe and stale waffles, completely inedible. This has the potential to be a lovely hotel so hopefully our stay was not the norm.

Outstanding service from front reception and other staff. Room was lovely, bed fabulously comfortable, king bed. Really loved the decor and ambience. Something different, a funky, cool historical hotel. Great bar and food. We will stay again.

Accommodation is above busy bar and restaurant services with some noise in rooms apparent. Reception staff are part of restaurant, so can be confusing to locate appropriate assistance when required. Needed help with television and obviously, complicated set-up that could not be easily remedied by usual staff. Rooms are generous size but no facility for twin share bedding arrangements. Room is comfortable with tea/coffee inclusion and large bathroom but no facility to contain shower water splashing everywhere. Breakfast meal and drink choices are limited but adequate options and service. Hotel is well located to Perth Convention Centre for easy access.

Could not get in through reception door as it was locked. Had to go through restaurant to find staff member. Room needed more lighting in Bathroom as could not see to put make up on partner to shave. Bed was very comfy. Staff were very friendly and apologetic for no one on reception.

2/10 Poor

This hotel could be so much more, lift your game. It was over priced for its current conditions. We stayed in the terrace suite 5. The sound proofing window was broken and would not close which made it super noisy from both the bar down stairs and traffic. No blackout curtains so the bistro lights kept me away at night. The room was not cleaned or made up when we left for lunch on Saturday for a few hours, even though we left the door sign requesting it. The ensuite smelled mouldy, the toilet seat was dirty and had mould that had not been cleaned. We found a water for syringe ampoule under the wardrobe. The bedside lamps where there just for decoration as there are no power points next to the bed. Even though the four posted bed was a nice touch, the posts where loose and wobbly. The aircon was super noisy and the controls where hidden behind a door. Had to call reception to find that out as well as finding out about the wifi password. The room could do with a compendium of sorts. The bedding was sub par. Pillows broken with feathers flying out when you laid your head on them. Duvet was old and stained. Limited AV connectivity. The lounge was being used for storage with a large shelf stacked in the corner next to the fridge. Getting through to reception was tasking. Took 3 or 4 tries each time and got someone who was not even at the hotel. Very poor. We gave up in the end. I'd say save your money and go elsewhere. There are better hotels just a city block away.
