“Our recent stay at The Dorchester Hotel in Collingwood was absolutely exceptional! From the moment we arrived, the warm and welcoming staff made us feel right at home. The hotel is a perfect blend of elegance and comfort, with beautifully appointed rooms that are both spacious and impeccably clean. The attention to detail in the décor added a unique charm that made our stay truly memorable. One of the highlights of our trip was dining at the Tremont Café. The ambiance of the restaurant was intimate and inviting, with a cozy yet sophisticated atmosphere. The menu was thoughtfully curated, featuring a variety of dishes that showcased fresh, high-quality ingredients. Every bite was a delight – from the creative appetizers to the perfectly executed main courses. Great stay.
Great location downtown Collingwood. Rooms are nicely decorated and designed. The kitchenette had everything we needed, (note there is not a microwave within the room, but we knew that and were prepared to make some meals on the stove).

Very cool hotel, great vibe comfort and style. Check in experience was not great, front desk staff was very rigid about 4pm check-in. We arrived at 3 and staff acted irritated by request to check in. They offered no rationale, just quoted hotel policy. Very off putting. Otherwise great experience.

A beautifully appointed hotel within walking distance of restaurants, shops and the lake. Aesthetically appealing lobby, common spaces and suits complete with kitchens and luxurious baths. Enjoyed listening to classic vinyl records provided. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at this unique and historic gem in Collingwood. Will definitely recommend and visit again.

We stayed at the Dorchester for 2 nights in October 2024. I’ve never stayed at a hotel that is this difficult to reach, even as a current guest. We tried calling on Friday night to ask some further questions (we were coming to stay the following day) but the phone kept ringing and ringing and we didn’t end up getting through. When we arrived we were provided with an after hours line to call, however guests will likely have to use this line even during regular hours. On Sunday - they were barely at the front desk. Later, tried calling the front desk at 6 pm (within the hours of their front desk service) but we never got through. Went to the front desk but no one was there. Had to call after hours line even though it wasn’t after hours. They picked up and said that no one was at the hotel, and that it would take at least an hour to get us a replacement tissue box and a paper towel roll because no staff were on site.
