Great Value, Comfortable stay.
Great location, good sized room. Self-storage of luggage for early arrival a big plus. 15 and 21 year-olds slept on couches with provided linens. Said the couches were pretty hard. Still overall, highly recommend.

Fantastic hotel within walking distance of a metro station. Very conveniently placed, being close to both a metro and a train station that’ll get you where you want to go in Kyoto. Hotel looks pretty new but don’t provide service at all during my four nights stay which make the experience not pleasant. They don’t change towel, and no service at all. No one at lobby, all self service. Besides the newer facility, I didn’t find the stay enjoyable. And sensor light at all way is a very stupid design that wakes up everyone at night when a person step into the room. I Wouldn't stay here again.

Minn gion was an excellent hotel for our short stay in Kyoto! It was centrally located to a lot of cool areas in Kyoto but far enough from the noise and action. The room was VERY spacious and a lot nicer than we expected. The price was the best part for four nights we paid almost 400 USD. It was very convenient having a luggage area where we can leave our stuff for the day on the day we checked out! When we first got the room we were literally the first room next to the lobby and I was a big worried about noise. But the building is new and pretty soundproof so we didn’t have any issues with noise!

Know it’s not a hotel, it’s an apartment😅
It’s no-person apartment with over-video screen receptionist available and do not expect hotel service. I ship my luggage, told never to do that. They do not accept any delivery, so be careful. Great room with kitchen but no basic spices so buy or bring your own. Love their room. Highly recommend if you don’t need any help.

Only a couple of blocks from the busy streets of Kyoto but a world apart, as it was uncrowded and felt safe. We were on the second floor facing the street corner, so did hear cars and people's voices. There's a FamilyMart store on the ground floor which was convenient, but that also meant that people congregated below our window to smoke. Overall a nice property.

We had an absolutely amazing experience staying at minn Gion. The room size was sufficient for a family of three. There was a convenient store nearby. The bus stop was nearby.Gion area is absolutely amazing to take a peaceful walk late at night or early morning. Would definitely recommend to anyone looking at staying in Kyoto.

Aside from a strange check-in experience (check-in is done entirely over the internet or with the help of an off-site concierge contacted through a tablet in the lobby), Minn was an enjoyable hotel. The rooms are spacious and clean and we made use of the span in the basement, reservable for a reasonable fee.

Great property, and a large room, for Japan. The Minn location was great for those with Gion/Kyoto on their list - close but not too close, for the foot traffic and noise. Great restaurants and walking nearby. The subway was a 5 minute walk away, which you'll learn in important, and a Family Mart attached to the property.

Great location, nice clean and large room, and has all amenities needed in the room. Literally right next to a family mart which is great and walking distance from the markets and temples. Only minor downside was it would be tough to access staff at some points but we never needed that and when they were around, they were super friendly and helpful. They even let us check out a little later because our washer drier was taking a little while. Would definitely stay here again.
