Inden rejsen skrev til jeg stedet for at høre, hvilke kreditkort de tog i mod. Jeg fik aldrig svar. Det viste sig, at de ikke talte engelsk på hotellet. De tager i mod alle kreditkort. Jeg rejste med to børn og havde bestilt en ekstra opredning. Jeg fik en toværelses lejlighed med to store dobbeltsenge i stedet, hvilket var skønt. På billederne fra Hotels.com var der tennisbane, golfbane og fodboldbane tilknyttet hotellet. Det viste sig, at de ikke tilhørte hotellet. Vi fik dog lov at bruge faciliteterne alligevel. Morgenmaden var udmærket til prisen med stort udvalg. Man skal spørge efter kaffen. Vi spiste aftensmad på hotellet en enkelt gang. Det var fint til voksne, men ikke særligt varieret til børnene. Fadøllet kunne med fordel være fem grader koldere. Hotellet ligger for enden af en ti kilometer lang blind vej. Til gengæld er der hurtig adgang til gode vandre-, mtb- og gravelruter

Personalmangel und Jahreszeit/Nebensaison haben einen besseren Service verhindert. Dieser war aber insgesamt ok. Bei Ankunft im Hotel (vor der vorgesehenen Check In Zeit!) wären wir gerne auf Toilette gegangen, was nicht möglich war, weil kein Ansprechpartner vor Ort war und keine Toilette zur Verfügung stand.

Ein toller Wanderurlaub
Man hat sich ganz wunderbar um uns gekümmert; auch das Essen im zugehörigen Restaurant war sehr gut. Nach langen Wanderungen konnten wir in der Sauna und im Innenpool entspannen. Die Stimmung zwischen Gästen und Personal war sehr positiv und herzlich. Die Einrichtung im Zimmer war einfach aber gepflegt. Das WLAN war stark genug, um Filme zu streamen, was auch nicht überall eine Selbstverständlichkeit ist. Der nächstgelegene größere Ort Zellerfeld ist etwa 10 Autominuten entfernt (zu Fuß eher zwei Stunden, bitte nicht Unterschätzen!), Schulenberg selbst bietet keine Einkaufsmöglichkeiten und die Busse fahren eher sporadisch. Wir haben bewusst einen Ort gesucht, der ruhig gelegen und ein guter Ausgangspunkt für Wanderungen ist. Das haben wir in Schulenberg gefunden. Gerne wieder!
