Clean room, fair location, excellent cleaning and a decent breakfast. However, much of the staff had a very unhelpful attitude towards solving issues. Perhaps this is a cultural difference but the time it took for anyone to attend to any issues and for room service to deliver items was ridiculously long. This wouldn’t have been an issue had they said upfront that it will take two hours for ice or almost three hours for someone to come and look at a leaky toilet, but the staff would always say on the phone “yes of course right away”. This was very unhelpful and frustrating.
However, I do want to give a special shout-out to a male staff member (whose name I unfortunately cannot remember but perhaps he was the manager on duty for that shift?) working the evening shift (until 10pm) Thursday July 18 who was very helpful and did his utmost to ensure that I had a semi-enjoyable end of the stay despite the toilet breaking and me needing to change a room for the last night. There was also a younger gentleman working at the door on morning of the 19th of July who was very helpful and kind. These two were the best people in terms of customer service at the hotel.
Overall, decent hotel, much better value for money than some others in the area but there are many members of staff whose attitude leaves much to be desired.
