Being a Part of History
It was a wonderful experience to stay in the oldest inn in America. The room was cozy with a 4-poster bed. The staff was cordial and helpful. My only regret is that we were unable to have lunch in the Taproom. It was too crowded, and we didn't have advance reservations. Otherwise, our weekend getaway to Rhinebeck was fun.

Holiday Getaway
The hotel is very charming and was beautifully decorated for Christmas. The staff was amazing and very helpful. The room was a little dated and musty smelling. If we stayed again, we would request another area as there were several different buildings to the inn. Overall we had a very nice time.

Keep the 20th century at bay. No TVs or radio's.
Exactly as represented. And your can feel safe. There are about 25 muskets on hand and ready to muster, just in case the Red Coats attack.

A sliver of another age. You can feel safe, though. There are ample muskets about to take up and defend against any approaching Red Coats. One small point: the continental breakfast should be served on sight rather than two blocks away. There seem to be ample spaces for it.

Really quaint and unique. Food was exceptional. Breakfast spot next door was great. Not the one that comes free with the room.

The room was spacious and nice. The breakfast was disappointing; not too many choices and cheap items; does not match at all with the hotel category and price.

Iiked it all. The room lovely. Historical Hotel dating back to 1766. Most of decor beautiful period pieces. Original art work and hand written documentation preserved and in display. Tavern, cocktails, and Julia bartender was great. Lamb Shank Dinner a classic onion soup delicious.

6/10 Good

There was no one at the front desk to help us with check in when we finally had someone help us they had to ask someone else because they were "NTS". The offsite continental breakfast was convenient but could have offered some variety daily. The room was very comfortable, but the bed was extremely high off the ground and could be dangerous. The bathroom area was too small. It would have been nice to have a separate sink area. The location of the hotel is perfect, but I am not sure I would stay again. Expected better for the nightly rate.

I love staying at the Beekman. The confluence of history and rhinebeck’s current vibe is spot on for me. The staff deserves a special shout out as they have been incredibly warm and inviting on my two stays. Julia the bartender and the pm front desk agent (name escapes me!) have been incredibly thoughtful, kind and professional. You’ve got a great team! Thanks!
