I decided to treat myself to a one night stay at Paradise City at the end of my trip. Some of the reviews regarding the service and attitude from the staff made me worried, but I only experienced great service while I was there.
The resort is nicely decorated and very large, with a lot of options for food/drinks as well as shopping and entertainment. Airport shuttle service is also available. However, the counter at the airport specifically has a sign to request that no questions be asked there unless you were a casino member...why? The signage for the shuttle bus was also only provided in Korean.
The room was large and the bed was very comfortable.
The downsides were the early check-out time (11am), and the resort only having 3 small elevators (1 going to all levels, 1 going to odd-numbered levels, and 1 going to even-numbered levels....checking out was CHAOS as most elevators were fully packed and we had to wait a long time for one that was available. Considering the size of the resort, and its proximity to the airport (lots of suitcases!), this was a surprise to me. The pools were not as incredible as I thought they would be - the pools were quite small considering the number of guests and so it was very crowded with limited space for swimming...more like dipping. There are also a lot of families bringing their children here, so I wish there was an additional adult pool for those who want to relax.
Overall, still a great luxurious stay.
