Really nice place and would stay again but I would probably remember to book a room with a bigger bed 😂. We didn’t do the Spa but maybe next time. The restaurant was lovely and some amazing views overlooking the Peak District. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Relaxing and great service from all staff in all areas where I went, bar, restaurant and recent. Great shower and very happy with room overall. Stunning area of beauty.

10/10 Exceptional

We booked a superior double room which was lovely, shower was a brilliant pressure! The bed was very squishy though so overnight if your partner moves so do you and if you have a bad back it will not be comfortable! Breakfast was nice plenty of options we had the burgers for our evening meal which was delicious and the drinks were very reasonable. Friendly gastro pub atmosphere with wonderfully friendly staff. The walk round the reservoir is walking distance from the hotel and we had a good long day doing the reservoir walk. Would definitely stay again and do the spa

The Roaches

It was a birthday treat for my fiancé. I am struggling to down point anything with regards to our stay with yourselves. The staff were very friendly and attentive, the food was superb and the location perfect for our needs.

Generally a nice place to to stay. The evening meal was excellent, but unfortunately that was not the same for breakfast, most definitely the "worst" full english breakfast i have ever had, dont know how they had the audacity to serve it up!!! Will not be returning.

8/10 Very good

Nice location, great staff.

Convenient location amid some spectacular scenary. Reception was great, lovely staff throughout and what a breakfast offer. Room 209 was comfortable, although I think they need to consider improving the matress on the four poster. Sleep was good though. Great bathroom, standalone shower and spa bath. I would say that the stay was quite pricey, but I do recommend.
Bathroom, shower is to right out of shot

6/10 Good

Nice pub with a good restaurant and spa facilities. We paid for a superior room which was a disappointment. Unfortunately ours was an inner facing room which seem to look into the spa area. For privacy they have erected a fence literally 3 feet from the window so our view was of a fence screen. Not what we were expecting for a ‘superior’ room with a price supplement. As a superior room it has upgraded facilities mainly in the bathroom area. Ours was supposed to have a funky shower with multiple jets. Just a shame it didn’t work. Also the shower didn’t drain and there were lights in the bathroom that didn’t work. The television was old and dated and poor quality picture and cables hanging down the wall. Wouldn’t have taken much to add a cable tidy system when they revamped the rooms. Beware the bed is very very soft too so if you prefer a medium to harder mattress then this place may not be to your liking. We ate in the restaurant and the food was very good. Breakfast was typical buffet fare and perfectly acceptable. Overall a lovely area, great views from the garden terrace, clean and tidy but just a shame the room was a disappointment.
Stephen, 1-night trip

2/10 Poor

Bar was well stocked, room was not as described in advertisement, states big tv, bed was a double not a kingsize, marks on the furniture, marked as rainshower or whirl pool bath and did not get either, bed was very uncomfortable, view was of a wall and not garden view, rang and asked for a 4 poster bed and whirlpool bath with it being for a wedding. Very disappointed with the stay

Excellent staff, warm, friendly attentive staff

Stayed at the 3 horseshoes as a mid way break on our way up To The Lake District for an wedding, hotel is clean and comfortable, bar is well stocked and they weren’t Charing rip off prices, the restaurant was very good , wide range of food available, we were joined by our daughter and 6 year old granddaughter for dinner , the staff were really accommodating with us changing time of meal … even though they seemed a bit under pressure as they had a wedding taking place …
Simon, 1-night trip

6/10 Good

Poor customer service

Not great value for the price. Room was very warm and tv cable came out of the tv every time you opened the curtains. Some in the restaurant for both breakfast and evening looked like they didn’t want to be there and weren’t interested in helping their customers.

Best Wedding Venue

We were staying for a wedding - the whole experience was amazing!! The spa was unreal, the prep room in the morning and the level of service was incredible. Massive thank you to Lisa who looked after everyone the day of the wedding! Fantastic - 5 star!!

I thought the room was over priced at £94. The room was very dated with no breakfast. I’ve stayed at better guest houses in the same area for half the price of what it cost to stay at the three horseshoes inn.

We came for a wedding. The venue is beautiful, food good quality. We paid £165 for the room. The bed and pillows were hard. We had to pay an extra £30 on top fir breakfast.

Fantastic staff and spotlessly clean. The room was a little dated in style but very clean.
Rachael, 1-night trip

10/10 Exceptional

A lot bigger than i realised. It was a great suprise. Good size room, big shower room. Where the hotel shines is by doing all the simple thing right. - high pressure shower - 2 chairs in room - bowl of sweets - comfy king size bed - good quality pillows - good soundproofing - comfortable temp. - friendly, helpful staff - good quality, fresh breakfast I thoroughly enjoyed staying. My only slight criticism is that the otherwise extensive food menu only has two fish dishesand not as varied as the meat. Otherwise, food was really good and the service excellent.
