This hotel is convincingly located right at the subway station. All major tourist attractions are very easy to visit through the subway.
it is well maintained and very clean. The breakfast is a must try and voted best in the area. Local restaurants are all within a few minutes walk with a 24 hour chain restaurant across the street to grab late night eats. There is also a shopping mall right beside the hotel with Muji, Uniqlo and etc. Even though it is not at the centre of Kyoto, but I find myself enjoy the quieter and more local atmosphere here than the bustling Kyoto station area. It will be my choice hotel when I visit Kyoto next time.

Wonderful hotel
Hidden gem. This hotel is slightly outside the center of Kyoto but it connected to the train station and it takes only 5 minutes away from the Kyoto station. The room has wonderful amenities among which an espresso machine. Staff was very kind all the time and made us find the luggage in our room.

- We had a king sized bed, and this by far was the biggest room we had during our trip. It was extremely clean and we get fresh towels daily. The view is superb, it is overlooking the station.
- Women will love it here as they have an onsen on the 5th floor! I was alone when I went there and boy was the water hot (but bearable) and all amenities were provided. It felt very relaxing. And it’s for free! There’s skin care and hairdryer and vanity station too after the bath!
- I loved our private washroom! Clean and new.
- Unfortunately, all rides to our destination is always more than 30 rides from the hotel…..and I did not like that as we had so much on our list that we couldn’t just do! As well, the front of the building was kind of confusing as I guess part of it was under construction? It didn’t look like an entrance.
- Staff speaks English and are very helpful whenever you need anything. They also offer to hold our luggage by the lobby while we’re waiting for our check-in time. They also offer luggage forwarding to our next hotel.
- Overall, my partner and I will rate this 5/5

Super close to bus, train, and taxi sevices. Breakfast was amazing and there is a womens only spa area that is lovely. Will continue to book here for my Kyoto stays.
I will note that the air conditioner only blows hot air (heater) never stayed in the summer, so not sure if ths changes depending on the time of year.

This hotel is located one station away from JR Kyoto station. But there is a subway station very closed to this hotel. It's very easy to access tourist spots in Kyoto.

Very close to metro station for easy tranaport around Kyoto. Bathroom was a little dated but the room itself was really nice with a coffee machine in the room. An addition of a laundry room would have been handy for us but not needed for everyone. The staff were very friendly and helpful.

Rooms are small, but very modern and clean. The place looked new, and the price was very reasonable. The breakfast buffet was a little expensive for what you get, but it was tasty. It's also odd that the public bath is only for women? I've never been to a place like that before.

Best Japanese breakfast experience and location
We stayed here during our Kyoto trip and it was one of the nicest hotels I have stayed at. The room was a good size for the two of us with plenty of floor space for us to open our suitcases. I’m saying this based on the fact that a lot of hotels in Japan have tiny rooms. The bathroom/shower system took a little getting used to but it was fine.
My favourite part of the stay was the breakfast! Incredible and such a huge variety. I’m limited to having seafood and vegetarian abroad when there is no halal meat so I was super pleased to see so many Japanese breakfast dishes that were seafood and vegetarian. All so well made. It was the best breakfast out of the 3 hotels I stayed at in Japan. I loved how traditional and Japanese the entire breakfast was. So if you’re looking for continental food, this won’t be for you but you’ll have missed out on the culture and experiencing what a Japanese breakfast must be like. The fact that so many native Japanese people stayed at this hotel, tells you that it must be good.
The rooms were clean and beds made daily. There’s good WiFi and the location is the best! You are directly opposite Yamashina station which is one stop from Kyoto station using the JR rail or suica card. It was convenient to make day trip to Osaka and go literally everywhere. I’d highly recommend to anyone and I’ll happily stay here again. The neighbouring area had good restaurants for sushi.
The staff here were super friendly, smiley and respectful. Thank you!
