None Functional Lodging
Have used this hotel for 12 years annually for christmas show AMT.Hotel changed names several times. When we arrived Hotel was at a total lockdown. One clerk one cleaning person., Pool closed for months according to clerk, Gameroom shut down, Night club downstairs closed down, restaurant shut down. The hotel appeared abondoned. We always stayed there over the years, because it was good for the children, much for them to do. We observed 3 cars in the lot after we checked in, There was no notice or advertising when I made reservation, that this hotel would be on a shut down, and expected the activities to be as we have known them during the past 12 years. Would I have been able to receive a refund, when we checked in I would have moved to another Hotel.

First time I've left a hotel due to filth
I'll just put it this way. It was so filthy (raisins on carpet, wet tissue in sink, dirt under vanity and "poo residue" in the toilet) that we immediately left. I will say that the front desk manager didn't give me a hard time. At the same time, I never got an apology nor did she seem surprised. I'm guessing this wasn't a first for her.

Accessible location
We stayed at Lancaster Family Resort for an event on Labor Day weekend. The hotel is very old and had ost its glory-needs update on all aspects. The loaction was perfect because it is in the center of shopping outlet; restaurants, attractions-very accessible. However, the downside is the upkeep of the hotel is just fair. The room was smelly due to the old carpet; you will think there might be bedbug (that's how old the hotel is); there was even wood plank used in the bathroom that is an eye sore. I like the idea of the resort-like feel to it unlike the usual hotels because it has an arcade.amusement area where families and friends could bond together but it needs to be updated.

Although the room itself was not horrible the rest of the hotel has not been maintained to any sort of minimum standard the website boasts a bar in the hotel which is been closed for some time and the pool look like a science experiment

The department of health should close this place
Keys don't work, room filthy, mattresses deplorable,, mold on ceiling, staff not helpful, a bandaid attempting to help bathtub drain. We couldn't stay in this place. Lift keys in room and found lodging elsewhere. Had tickets for a show and didn't have time to request refund. Pictures available as proof of these statements. Please send refund and by all means do not advertise this place. Pictures are on another phone, but available

Did not end up staying. The place was obviously being renovated but has a long way to go to being ready for lodging.

I have stayed in quite of few places in my travels and this place is by far the worst ever. This place should be condemned. The hotel lobby is the niceest thing about this place.

the wi-fi did not work,I asked several times for a remote for my tv and when I checked out still no remote. The outside pool was unusable so they should not advertise it. The bar and restaurant were not open. The front of the hotel does not look to bad but the back of it was terrible, weeds all over, broken chairsand a bench swing that was covered with weeds and cob webs. Will not stay there again.

It's a hotel with zero maintence since 1976
External: We almost drive by the property, it is so dark on the exterior that the property looked closed or abandoned. Street entry lighting and signage are nonexistent but this may be road construction related. Half of the external up-lighting intended to illuminate the outside of the building was broken and flashing like a strobe. Grounds maintenance was really poor and bushes blocked a safe view from the hotel into parking lot from at least the side parking lot entrance where cigarette butts were plentiful and several beer bottles lay strewn on the hallway floor on the way out the exit. Several external hotel access doors seemed to be poorly fitted such that external access might not be secure due to the doors not closing properly or entirely so they don’t lock unless pushed or dulled fully closed. Internal: Took three attempts and a room change to finally get into a room. The beds were comfortable and clean. The property (inside or outside) has had no improvements since about 1976. Carpets in the halls and rooms is heavily worn, stained and thread bares. The toilet continually ran. The main room entry light flickered and would not stay. The AC/Heat unit was difficult to turn on but it did work adequately. The room was dirty, several items just under the side of the beds; juice box strays/wrappers and behind the armoire – it’s probably heavy so I understand but the dirt is still troubling. On a 1-10 scale where 10 is the highest this hotel would be about a 2.5

This place needs to be condemned !!!
This hotel is not up to building code. There is no handicap access, elevators do not work, plumbing is subpar to say the least. We asked to exchange rooms because the toilet tissue wouldn't flush. The second room was just as bad AND the AC wasn't functioning properly. Now my shower experience. All soaped up and ready to rinse when the water turned scalding hot. Attempted to adjust the temperature without success. Had to rinse off on my hands and knees with cold water. The hallways are not air conditioned; very hot & humid. The inside pool area felt like a sauna. No AC, fans or ventilation of any kind. Not to mention the pictures on the internet are grossly outdated. The outside pool was closed; the rooms look nothing like what is shown on the site. The staff requires basic education on friendliness. The hostess at the continental breakfast wore gloves, picked something up off the floor and returned to the buffet wearing the same gloves. YUCK !! We went to McDonalds the next morning. The Health Department and BBB will be made aware !!!

Unforeseen Problems
Despite our late arrival, check-in went smoothly and we got the room we had reserved. Conditions were a bit sparse but the beds were ok and the shower worked. After conducting our business the next day we returned to the hotel to find that it had been closed by the local authorities and we were asked to pack up and vacate the building. If we had not gone to the front desk to ask about the internet connection I am not sure when we would have been told of the closing. The hotel was able to get us a room at another facility that was relatively close by.

Worst Hotel in Lancaster, Pa.
We checked in and was told we are on the 3rd floor (elevators were out of order) Went into our room and it was pretty crummy (not at all clean) bathroom and carpets were not clean, sheets and towels had an odor. There were no condiments (shampoo, coffee, sugar, creamer) went to ask for coffee. I was told he would have to try and locate some and he would bring it up. (he did, but only decaf.) Smoke alarm was hanging from the wall. Went to get ice and the ice machine did not work on our floor. Had to walk down a floor to get ice. Internet service did not work except close to the hall door. We were away for an anniversary get-away and were interested in swimming. Well if you saw the pool I don't think it would of been smart to get in unless you wanted some kind of disease. Oh, the continental breakfast consisted of much of nothing and ran out of coffee. The balcony was a nice feature until we closed out room door and the key card did not work to get us back in. (cell phone was in the room) I had to climb down and jump because nobody else were in the rooms to knock on there door to let us in. All in all the motel SUCKED.

Runned down and not at all handicap accessible
When I reserved the room for two nights, I called the hotel to request the room be handicap accessible, it was not and that we would be arriving late. The room came with a coffee maker, no coffee or tea to make. Also the ceiling had either water stains or mold above one of the beds. The elevator was out of order, the pool was not running each time we wanted to go hang out at the pool area, the lights in the pool area were always off, we spoke with two different staff about it, nobody seemed to know why the pool wasn't ready for the quests, the breakfast foods available was disappointing, coffee was cold, orange juice was brown looking, there was only one kind of cereal, no source of protein available except for milk for the cereal. There was suppose to be a bar/lounge but both nights it was closed. I spoke with several hotel staff at the desk including the manager. We were told there isn't anything they could do about how the hotel was ran during our stay pretty much, said by the manager herself. You would think that a hotel being right across the street from Dutch Wonderland, that the hotel would be in excellent shape and excellent manner from the staff and management.
