I strongly recommend this hotel for you. The reasons are as follows: It is a customer-friendly hotel, especially when you talk to the manager. It is very clean, with no unpleasant smells in the rooms. It seems like a safe place to stay, located in the middle of the Appalachian Mountains.

It is an older motel with the convenience of larger rooms and being able to park at room front door. The room was very clean and beds comfortable but furnishings very basic and room remodeling very old and dated. Breakfast bar was sub-par - walk down the street to local coffee shop French Press. It depends on what you are expecting - if hiking the AT and sleeping in a tent then this is fabulous. If more used to the new Holiday Inn by I-64 then this is very basic shelter. However, location was close to historic downtown and nearby neighborhoods (very safe area). A good value as it is a lot less expensive than others in area, which covers the cost of eating breakfast elsewhere.

I like this hotel. The area is very safe and quiet. The hidden gem was the other lobby for guests to use. Very bright and pretty. I appreciated the clean room and comfortable bedding. I was able to take an Uber to an airport bus stop and thus saved money. I will definitely stay here again on my return. Will definitely book here a
