The hotel is quirky and in a perfect spot for everything. However should not be classified as a 4 star hotel. The rooms are decent but so many flaws that simple things could fix. Walls had numerous marks and smudges, chipped paint and holes. The floors creaked and the floor boards were worn and peeling. Bathroom was ok but hair left behind and the doo is far too heavy.

Small room but OK for one. Very clean. Fantastic personnel, from cleaners to reception and restaurant. Good location at the front of old town (not very interesting) and very nice walk along the river to Guggenheim and modern areas. Only drawback was the extremely uncomfortable bed - hard and full of bumps, actually the worst bed I have had in a hotel of this standard.

Excellent location and superb staff. Breakfast buffet was simple and fresh. The room was ok, my particular room had some issue with the double glazing so there was condensation in between the glass panes, making the window hard to see through. This problem rectified itself in a few days as the temperature outside climbed higher. Comfy beds, and the mini fridge and coffee machine were nice touches. Would definitely stay again

Great location. Was not a city view room only a side street which was very noisy. Rooms quite small but clean and maids changed towels etc everyday. Definitely not sound proof tho as could hear everything from adjoining rooms
