The room felt neglected from the start. There was visible dust on surfaces like the desk and shelves, which gave the impression it hadn’t been properly cleaned in a while.
The ventilation was dusty, loud and overpowering. It blew air so forcefully that it dried out the room and made it hard to sleep comfortably. Combined with the dust, it triggered some irritation in my throat and nose.
The bathroom was in poor condition. There was visible mold in the corners of the shower area, especially around the silicone joints. On arrival, I found hair on the drain, which clearly showed that the bathroom hadn’t been cleaned thoroughly between guests.
The bed was noisy and squeaked every time I turned over, which made it hard to get a restful night. On top of that, the walls were thin. I could hear conversations, TVs, and footsteps from the neighboring rooms and hallway, which added to the disturbance. I got woken up several times because people were coming in and out of the hallway at all hours during the night.
Self-service check-in was a bottleneck.
The kiosks didn’t work resulting in lines that stretched through the lobby. You could wait 30 minutes for a key card. Check-out showed the same issue.
