Comfortable stay minutes from the city centre
We stayed at the Oval Hotel for a conference held at Adelaide Convention Centre. The room was clean, comfortable and very quiet (there was a concert at the oval one evening and despite the noise outside, it was nice and quiet once we stepped inside). Service was excellent. It is within walking distance of city centre.

Great location but several disappointments
A clean, attractive, modern interior and excellent location, but we were disappointed by the small size of the "King Suite" - compact, to say the least. We were also disappointed by the breakfast we had there - we arrived at 9:30am and only received our food at 10:20am. Then, it tasted like it was off a buffet, so they should probably just offer that instead. We did appreciate being able to access the NextGen gym close by for a swim.

There isn’t anything not to like about the Oval Hotel Adelaide. Reception was very welcoming and we were informed of all we needed to know. We had dinner and breakfast at the hotel and rate the meals as very very good. The King Fish was the best my wife had eaten & so was the Slow cooked lamb I ordered. I love the Oval hotel and stay here for work a lot as it is central, the place is lovely and the staff great! I book ahead as its work and I need to be organised - so this time there was a football final... I have been there when there was cricket on but that was not like this! the restaurant and bar were closed (apparently a deal with the AFL) on Friday night of the football and of course the restaurant was busy in the morning for breakfast ... so much so that they omitted the soft shell crab off their (Amazing) chilli eggs and still changed the same amount. I did advise that I thought if the facilities were being reduced ... so should the price due to the reduced level of service - might be something to think about...
