I stayed in a Premium Queen room for 3 nights, the room is very dark. If you have your privacy blinds down, the main light source is the bathroom/shower area, and the mirror lighting up. 2 small lights by the bed and a colourful light around the tv - that’s all. I struggled a fair bit and I’m only in my (early) 30s! Natural light is also a struggle being Glasgow, and I can imagine it’s worse during deeper winter.
The shower was also a struggle for me with thick hair, I’m not a fan of a rainfall shower (fair enough that’s personal preference) but the handheld shower for rinsing is only one setting, and I ended up standing there much longer and probably using 3x the amount of water than normal to rinse out conditioner because it was quite weak pressure. Lovely romantic rainfall, not so good for solo hair washers.
Memory foam bed, adjustable to raise the top end for sitting watching tv. Very squishy pillows. Hair dryer, iron and ironing board in the room, and what I thought at first glance was a safe is actually a little fridge! Though it’s not very cold, it does the job. Towels that actually got round the whole body if you’re over a size 14!
I’ll be back to stay, though I might bring a torch.
