A nice place spoilt by the heating ad beds
Unfortunatly the poor quality beds and the relentless heating of the rooms and corridors made getting a good nights sleep impossible.

It was one of the best MacDonald Hotels that i have stayed at recently. The staff are very helpful and polite and the property well presented and loved.

Comfortable and quiet room. Well appointed. Staff are always nice here. The food menu I find a bit limited and not great value. A bit reliant on the fryer. The location is good - great for RMAS. The really great feature is the lovely pool.

Its in the detail
It was a quick stay with a spa for my wife being the aim. We were let down unfortunately, not by the hotel as that was amazing but by the team in the Spa.

Ok
Stayed one night for business - didn’t use the pool or gym so room-only review. It was fine, pretty tired inside but fine, bed was comfy & good to have a desk. Not sure about the open internet connection. Would stay again if using the facilities, which would make it excellent value.

8/10 Very good

We give it a thumbs-up.
Our 1 night stay was good. Reception very friendly and helpful. This is a decent place to stay, ok, a little tired here and there but, comfortable and does its job very well. The drinks and food expensive (didn’t try) as we think this large hotel is used by business customers, probably on expense accounts. Set in large grounds away from town youll need to drive if you wish to eat elsewhere.
Colin, 1-night trip

Lovely comfortable room with greet spa facilities. Wish the evening menu had more options.

Fawlty Towers??
At check in, the receptionist did not speak good English at all. I also had to ask him what room number he had scribbled down. I reserved a table for 8pm and my colleague was running late due to traffic so I popped my head into restaurant to advise them. I went to the bar next door to wait and saw the restaurant lady popping in a few times. When we eventually got to the restaurant, she advised that we were too late for a meal. I protested and she reluctantly gave us a table. Not once had she advised that the restaurant would close by a certain time. I had to wait about 10 minutes to be served in the bar, 1 member of staff on a go slow, not all his fault because only 1 card machine shared with restaurant to take payments ( no offer at check in for a card deposit), no Peroni draught which was like that 12 months before, just a glass over the pump, a bit like Fawlty Towers really. The food that we had was nice enough and the room comfortable
