Clean but minimal
The unit was very clean, but it felt quite small, especially if you have two large suitcases. While the room could benefit from being a bit larger and having better amenities like a proper table or at least a refrigerator, our overall stay was smooth. The reception staff were friendly and helpful, which added to the positive experience. The location is convenient, witha metro station just a 1-minute walk away. Although major tourist destinations aren't within walking distance, the well-distributed transportation system in Berlin makes getting around incredibly easy and efficient.

Great hotel in Gleisdreieck
Very nice, quiet hotel with characterful rooms in a good location. It's actually not in Potsdamer Platz but is in a better location - right by the U-Bahn station & big green park with several beer gardens. Really friendly and helpful staff throughout.

Management lied about how they deal with Expedia. I tried to make a change in the front desk upon my arrival to shorten my stay by one night and from 4 travelers to 2 due to a family emergency. But the staff said it was up to Expedia and the could not do anything. I called Expedia and confirmed they will support/approve and if the hotel management approves then Expedia would be happy to make the change. Expedia then called the hotel and the hotel just denied the request. When I talked to the manager he just gave me the runaround and offered "free breakfast". We ended up having to pay for the extra night without being able to stay there (could have easily booked it to someone else) and being stuck in a 4 person more expensive room while it was only two traveling. Look, I understand there are business processes but customer service is also very important. 5 stars to Expedia for being flexible and trying to help me out, 1 star to Aletto for being untruthful and inflexible to a customer in need. Gave two overall stars because the younger general staff was OK. Hotel location is a bit iffy and it’s geared towards younger crowds. Sort of like a hotel/hostel vibe. Not recommended for business travel.

We visited in mid-July and it was hot. Europe AC is adequate; don’t expect AC strong and super cold like in the US. Clean and comfortable beds and sheets. We were able to check-in early on a Saturday too. Rooms are perfect for average sized people…with carry-on luggages…Berlin tap water is safe and delicious tasting. Staff is so nice! We met Uri who was the bartender and he so awesome. He was accommodating, respectful, and such a happy person. We loved our stay here and would highly recommend it!
