Maple trill is always closed after we hiked there couple times, kids are disappointed. Room service is not more like food delivery all packed in plastic box, food are terrible and way over the price. Room is out dated and no extra blankets, just thin sheets. Not coming back there.

Not for family with young kids

Not a great stay. We got the room in Bayshore building and it only has one elevator and we got the farthest room possible from it. There was no microwave in any of the rooms. Wish we we knew these 2 things at the time of check-in. With young kids these little things matter. What really broke the camel’s back was our reservation for swimming pool didn’t go through properly. Staff over there were nice and apologized but we could not explain to our kids why we couldn’t go to pool and other people did. Young families are better off going to blue mountains or horseshoe resort

The Bayshore building is very clean, but it's evident that the building is aging. Some of the things like the crown moulding have separated joints, but overall it's a nice clean place and I was quite happy with it. It was great that there are so many trails to take advantage of for people like me that love the outdoors. I used the cross-country ski and snowshoe trails right on site and also did a little bit of ice skating. At the time of my stay there was no indoor dining (thanks COVID) and ended up getting a bit of a mix of room service and going into town for some takeout. The food from the room service was excellent but a little pricey, but the convenience made up for the higher price though. Overall, I would recommend Deerhurst Resort and really enjoyed my stay. I hope to visit again.

    Impressive food, but....

Finally got there over Christmas weekend 2020...food and customer service was over the top...amazing! Unfortunately, that’s where the good news ends. It’s VERY EXPENSIVE! Upon check in, you get a wristband, like what you’d get at an “all inclusive” resort. Nothing at Deerhurst is inclusive. Meals, snacks, activities, bag of ice...$$$$$! Yes they charge you for ice...seriously! This has nothing to do with Covid...it’s always been like that (except for ice...ice machines closed). Our room in the Bayshore building was basic no frills. Not even a proper mini fridge. It was a tiny 2’x2’x2’ box. Great view of the lake...sliding door, no balcony. For $200/nt, you’d expect a little more.

    Lackluster

Let me start by saying we had a good time during our stay, we made the best of it and would still consider it again even though our conditions weren't the greatest. Most of the amenities were closed, and apparently you need to call days before check in to make a reservation for the pool, that left us very dissapointed. The first room we checked into looked clean, but the fridge smelt like something had died in it, which left me to question if it had been cleaned at all. It also made me question the rest of the cleaning throughout the hotel. They were helpful and moved us immediately which was nice. The new room we got was very dated. All the doors barely shut, and needed to be deadbolted to keep them shut. The TV guide was all messed up and most the channels were glitching and on loop. The phone in the main room didn't work at all. I spent 30 minutes trying to get the restaurant and guest services only to realize that it didn't work (it kept ringing fast busy) I was then informed by guest services that the menu needed to be updated because you couldn't call from your room and needed to use a cell. Our freezer was frozen over so we could barely fit anything in it, which was upsetting since we were there for my son's birthday and paid for an ice cream cake which then we had to dispose of because we couldn't freeze it. I have stayed here many times before, and never had a stay like this last one. The check in process was incredible and very safe but after that it was meh
