The hotel itself, staff, offerings, etc. were very average (which isn’t a bad thing - just unremarkable). It was a poor check in experience that tarnished our stay.
We were only staying one night for a special event nearby. We arrived at 3 PM which was the post to check in time. We were told that the room was not ready to come back in 30 to 40 minutes. So we did, and the room was still not ready. After another short wait, they gave us the key to the room. We went to the room, and it had not been cleaned. We returned to the lobby, only to find out it would be another 20–30 minutes.
The associate at the front desk (Riley?) was very nice to us and apologetic, and offered us beverages and snacks. However, by the time we got to the room, we were not able to do any of the plans we were hoping to do before our event that night. We had to quickly get ready and head off to our event.
