Room service was one of the worst i have seen . Coffee cup and wine glass was left for 3 days on my desk not to mention the paper i left on the floor and no one cleaned it.

Room not cleaned properly. General decor is tired and scruffy. Better options elsewhere.

Large rooms, friendly and helpful staff , close to museums and Heinecken Brewery ( 10 mins walk ). Lots of nice cafes and good restaurants within walking distance. Rooms are good, but not very modern and a bit worn out. Weekend rates are a bit too high

Great hotel and location.
This is a great hotel. Our accommodations were great. Check in staff were extremely helpful. Very quiet location, museums were within walking distance. Hotel is only a couple blocks from the subway and tram stop. Easy to figure out. We bought a 3 day pass and rode to central station to see more of Amsterdam. Overall excellent vacation.

I'd stay again, even with hidden charges
great location, walk to major museums in minutes. close to metro, trams, and busses. Comfortable space with excellent light. The area around it is quiet, but still just a few blocks from the heart of De Pijp. The bathroom had a soap holder that should be replaced. The Hotel didn't declare an extra $80 city fee until I arrived. Of course they also "hold" $100 of fund on your credit card. I just don't like that practice. So, be prepared for additional expenses.

A perfect location...close to public transportation and the wonderful museums

great location, crummy mattresses
Great location! Clean with good service. Mattresses are tough for sleeping—like box springs with no cushion. Would be nice place if they had better beds.

Nice hotel
Overall, this was a great hotel! We had to change rooms our first day there, so we learned that the upper floors have slightly upgraded rooms with larger windows overlooking the canal. We had to move to a lower level, but still had a nice view of the canal. The location is very convenient to walk around museum square and get to public transportation. We were traveling with 3 adults and requested a room with a third twin mattress. The portable mattress was not as comfortable as the regular ones, but it worked fine. The breakfast had a nice selection of food and beverages.
