The place was a dump. Shabby but not chic. The breakfast was good. Expensive at half the price.

Perfect Wedding Weekend
The inn keeper was so helpful, and kind! He helped to accommodate our family when we found we needed an additional room in the middle of our stay. We had so much fun, and will definitely be back again.

Never Again
My daughter had a basketball tournament in Burlington the weekend of May 19th. That weekend in Burlington was also graduation. All the hotels in town were booked. I went on hotels.com app to look for something fairly close. I found this quaint little inn with pretty good reviews for less the $50.00 for the night. Thought wow did I luck out. We arrived around 4:30/5:00. Drove by it at first, turned around and daughter in the front said " OMG keep going, I don't want to stay here. It looks creepy. I said "it does not." Went in, the owner showed us to a room that was not the room I booked. Pulled me aside and was clearly upset I got the room for this price. He asked if I knew what their rooms cost. I said yes, I looked. He was upset I had another kid with me and that another person was an extra $40.00. I told him I was not paying that, we would just not eat the breakfast that was supposed to come with the room. The girls were afraid of him and quite frankly the way he spoke to me made me nervous. But we had no choice there wasn't anywhere else to go. There was a queen bed and a twin bed placed in this room. They both felt like we slept on concrete. The kids were sore and achy in the morning. I joked with them saying Duker removed the comfy mattress pads as punishment for getting the room so cheap. I would never stay there again nor recommend anyone to. I was made to feel like I did something wrong because booked the room off of this app for $46.49.

Classic Vermont Inn well located near Burlington
Duker Bower, long time owner and resident of Charlotte, was very helpful to our needs with 2 year old grandson, while visiting sons in VT and their families. Good fresh breakfast, warm fire outside on chilly April evening... enjoyable conversations with guests and Inn Keeper. Will definitely stay again... probably for a few days this summer and again around Christmas. Richard & Jacque Vincent Gainesville, VA

Not a Typical NE B & B
We booked the Inn at Charlotte because of its convenient location. Shelburne Museum & Farm are close by as is Burlington. We were enthusiastically greeted upon our arrival by inn keeper, Duker, who showed us around the "inn" which in all honesty, is a bit quirky & funky. The inn looks a bit like a hippy motor inn. Chickens freely roam the grounds, hammocks surround an outdoor fire pit, the whole vibe is casual & laid back. We stayed in the family room that had a king size bed in one room and a twin bed & double futon in the other. Our room, the bedding & bathroom were all very clean. Furniture & decor looked like something you might find at a friend's summer cabin. Duker's art work is on the wall. Duker was very knowledgeable about things to do in the area that are "off the radar screen" We followed his advice & went to Mt. Philo Park (beautiful!) & walked the new 3 mile town link trail. Breakfast was delicious---bread pudding, bacon, fresh fruit compote. It's not for everyone, but If you're looking for a place to stay that's not your typical b & b, the Inn at Charlotte is for you. We had a great couple of days there.

Nice setting; friendly, interesting host
We enjoyed sitting in the yard, reading and watching the beautiful chickens wander by. It's close to a road but very quiet. Great location. The breakfast was delicious. Loved the owners. Interesting artist. We could have talked to him all day!

Nice place, would stay here again.
Nice little B&B. Place was a little tired as far as decor, but clean, charming and comfortable nonetheless. Owner/Manager greeted us and was quite pleasant. He made sure we were aware of all that there was to enjoy, including the outdoor setting. He offered our son the chance to sleep out in the tent if he wanted!

Beautiful setting in scenic Vermont!
Loved this quaint Inn in scenic Vermont! Great location outside of Burlington. We stumbled upon it on our travel through beautiful Vermont. The Inn keeper was awesome, very knowledgeable about the area and very friendly. Showed us how to drive the scenic Gap road which was great. Served an awesome breakfast. Highly recommend:)

A Great Find
We had a great weekend visit. We were very comfortable in this cozy B&B. Breakfast and the thoughtful service were a particular highlight. We found everything we needed. Our room (a suite really) was quite spacious, and featured a separate bedroom, living room and kitchen. The decor is simple, but perfect for us. The Inn is also notably a very clean place. We would love to come back soon.

Pleasant stay
Room was very nice. Bed was too color for my liking. Shower stall was way too small for me. But it was very spacious and clean. The owners are very nice and knowledgeable of the area.

Basic B&B with high price
We were there for my daughter moving in day to UVM. We reserved the Family suite which cost $250/night. the room turned out as a cheap addition to the house. It has a bed room with an old queen bed, a living room, which they put a single bed in and there is a pull out couch for the 4th person (the cost will go up). There's also a full kitchen with a small table to have meal. There is 1 bathroom in the living area with a very small shower stall. Everything in the room is very basic with no stuff that looked like they came from various yard sales. The room is adequate but I think with the look and the condition of the room, it is a bit over priced, plus, the hotel is about 17 miles from downtown Burlington, in the middle of nowhere--not very convenient for our activities. In general there's nothing major wrong with this place, it just over-pricing.
