Great
Kiera, 1-night trip

8/10 Very good

This was a nice hotel for us to meet up with family in town and not have to drive home. The staff were friendly and the room was clean, and had everything you needed. The view of the sea was a lovely way to wake up. I'm certain when all the refurbishment is complete and the dining options come back, that this is a hotel we will use again.

We had a very pleasant stay in this establishment and I would book it again for a stay in Folkestone
Joanna, 1-night trip

6/10 Good

I like the sea view and staff are friendly and helpful but the hotel is out dated needs bright colours in the hallways and photos need to be more modern.

Perfect location for access to the town and harbour. Breathtaking views, lovely terrace area with sea views. Friendly and helpful staff always on hand.

Lovely sea view
Although there was scaffolding on the building, we had a lovely sea view room. Decor was old, but it was clean and staff were very friendly and very helpful. We had a lovely 2 days thank you

You get what you pay for. Bed’s uncomfortable. No water pressure. Great location. Place to stay. Would stay again for price.
Zachary, 2-night trip

2/10 Poor

We stayed in building site, everywhere was dusty, inadequate shower, hallway sometimes no electricity due to building work. Marketing trick is photo of hotel and condition of hotel completely different, advert shows hotel but reality is building site. Also there is no parking space for the hotel.
Erdogan, 2-night trip

Good, basic hotel for an overnight stop
Good, basic hotel. Excellent location on the cliffs close to the centre of Folkestone, but looking a bit run down internally. There is some on-street parking (paid) or a car park near by and on street parking is free overnight. There was building works going on when we stayed, with scaffolding over the building and blue protective film over the bedroom window which didn't do much for the view (over a car park).

Dirty Hotel
Absolutely disgraceful. Should not be allowed to be called a hotel. More hostel!
Andrew, 1-night trip

8/10 Very good

The staff was really helpful and friendly and the bed was really nice to lay in the balcony was nice as it was really hot it was clean I would of given it 5 stars but as the sink Leaked All over the floor and taps moved and no plug for the Barth I give it 4 stars but over all it was really nice I would stay there again
Nigel, 2-night trip

8/10 Very good

Clean but under renovation. Very lovely location, lots of room choices, great place to spend a couple nights. Gave snacks too. Comfortable and budget friendly. Great little cocktail bar, with a billiard room. .

Old but can still get the job done
Remodeling leaking bathroom walls were paper thin. People were nice. Bed was very comfy. 1 cup of coffee was 6 bucks. Wow!!
Bobby, 1-night trip

4/10 Fair

Really dated property. Not 3 stars definitely no more than 2. The only real positives were the staff were friendly and helpful and it was centrally located. Would not choose to stay here again under any circumstances.
Sandra, 1-night trip

Property is great for long or short stays reasonable price.
1-night trip

4/10 Fair

Under huge renovations and highly overpriced, no room service or mini fridge and bar closes at 11 because”I need to go home”??!! However it was a stones throw from the Leas venue and literally just a bed to sleep on, if it had a bath and more comfortable beds it would have been ok .. not going back
Stacey, 1-night trip

10/10 Exceptional

The property has all the charm of a facility of its age and location. The staff was amazingly helpful and kind. Understandably, they abide quite strictly to their check in times, but I appreciate that they were willing to store my bags until check in time so that I could explore the charming area on the seafront and adjacent high street area. The building is undergoing some extensive renovations, but none of that detracted from nor disrupted my experience.
Donoo, 1-night trip

Very basic but just wat I needed staff friendly

79’ Chic
I had read the reviews and think many were unfair. I have paid significant sums to stay in hotels in Brighton trying to create that 70’s vibe. This hotel achieved that at a fraction of the price. From the Lino in the bathroom to the 70’s curtains I could have imagined my parents staying there. Those who say it should be bulldozed miss the charm of the scaffolding and builders walking past while you showered
Ron, 2-night trip

4/10 Fair

The property needs to bulldozed and something else built. Black mold everywhere, windows would only open about inch. Like a sauna, had to buy a fan. Staff (people at the desk) were excellent. Would never recommend Again staff were great the two we met.
Lesa, 1-night trip

6/10 Good

Run down, but cheap and clean.
Jan, 1-night trip

6/10 Good

The hotel furniture is old but functional. The bathroom was basically clean (slight smell of strong bleach) and as with the rest of the hotel, could do with renovation. Bedding/towels etc. were all fresh and clean and in good condition. Car parking was either in the public car park around the corner or if lucky on road parking opposite the hotel. Either way, overnight free parking with charges starting at 08:00,so no sleeping longer. All in all, the price was about right and for me personally staying just one night, I would stay there again.
John, 1-night trip

8/10 Very good

This was literally a stop and go early next morning. The room was dated but spotlessly clean and everything worked as it should. Plenty of tea and coffee supplies👍.
