Stunning 16 century building with gorgeous stone cottages that actually look like the pictures online! Angelina at reception was fantastic and the restaurant was excellent.
Just duck as you walk round and through the doorways as the Elizabethans were much shorter!

This was our second stay at The Great House. Last time we had a room in the hotel building this time it was in the "annex". Very comfortable, large room. Staff were all really nice, very good breakfast on both days. Enjoyed the cocktails too. Thanks to all the team.

Quaint hotel in village
Business stopover. Clean with really friendly staff and a brilliant restaurant right next door. No need for plastic small shampoo bottles, otherwise all good.

Unpretentious but fully functional room with fantastic shower (room 4) but noisy as nearby church bell rang every hour throughout the night. The restaurant was good despite a limited choice menu, the breakfast was excellent but the service a bit inattentive. Plenty of parking. Overall, good VFM and a good base for the nearby Heritage Coast.

A beautiful old (16th Century) building about 2 miles from Bridgend and close to Ogmore by Sea (visit highly recommended). We were lucky to visit on a sunny day and to take advantage of the garden while having a drink (cocktails very good!) and snack for lunch. We were very warmly welcomed at Reception and loved our large room. Very good value for money - to stay at a character property. There's a bus stop opposite which was really helpful as we were expecting to walk the 2 miles to a train station to go to Cardiff.A real unexpected bonus was how beautiful the nearby coastal area was.

Overnight stay.
It was OK. A pity the restaurant wasn’t open, but there’s a good (but expensive) restaurant a five minute walk away. The rooms are tired (cracked mirror on wardrobe door, cracked hand basin, bedroom door a bit flimsy) but it looks like there’s a refurbishment programme underway. Breakfast was OK. The outside of the building is lovely; the interior is nowhere near as pleasant.
