I loved the property—next to or a part of the Dornach Golf Club and within walking distance to the beach and sea. The staff were phenomenal—kind, courteous, and professional. Huge potential if flaws can be addressed
Enormous building in a beautiful coastal location, with impressive lobby, dining room, bar, and snooker room. Friendly and attentive staff. My stay was let down by a loud banging noise that persisted through the night (sounded like an unsecured door clattering in the wind) and a strong smell of damp on my floor (third). Also, the breakfast service was understaffed and slow, although the staff were doing an excellent job in the circumstances, and the food was superb. Sadly, there was leakage of rainwater into the breakfast room. My impression is of a building that needs substantial repairs and ongoing maintenance to realise its huge potential.
