Gorgeous top floor view, disappointing stay. In short this was only some of the issues we faced:
-
Lack of communication at check in - arrived exhausted to be ignored by cleaning staff with no direction as to how to get inside the property or our room. She led us to the wrong room and we had to try and explain that we were in the wrong place. No English and honestly bad Spanish it seemed too………
-cleaning staff rude and unprofessional (banging on the door loudly and repeatedly until we opened to say no thank you, as early as 10 am during work calls)- the bathroom had gunk on all the drains and reeked of sewage - we had a maintenance guy come in and pour some water in the drain to “fix it”
- within 24 hours of checking in we requested to be allowed to leave early and get a refund due to the lack of Wi-Fi proper functioning Air conditioning, rude attitude of the staff and toxic smell in the air and we were refused this.
- the sewage smell throughout the entire apartment that made us nauseous and if we opened the windows it would be unbearably hot since the apartment is south facing (gets sun all day)
- The lock box in the front gate was constantly dead and we got locked out 3 times until someone passed. I don’t know if it was changed at our request but the problem persisted the entire stay
- constant bombardments from the landlord “we heard you used the towels for your feet” etc.. super odd experience.
