Overall the Sunshine Motel was just okay. The room had an interesting smell although very clean and tidy. The hotel door only partially locked and had to use my knife to enlarge the dead bolt hole. I personally wouldn't stay there again because of a few dislikes but I guess you get what you pay for. Management and employees were friendly though. 3/5 stars.

It’s a OK place to stay for overnight, but they don’t offer any coffee. I didn’t have extra toilet paper and only had one Face towel. They need to get new towels.

Room is a lot smaller than shown but it was alright staff is rude though the gentleman has a thick accent which makes it hard to understand him so he got mad fast and was rude giving my $5 back for the extra room key he threw it along with the card back twords me and was just take it rude as well i probably wouldn’t go back

The property was close to our second destination. What could be improved on would be the cleanliness. I found hair, what was not my own, in the shower along with a couple of bugs crawling along the bathroom shower wall.

Policies are not stated before purchasing. They do not allow pets or any visitors. They need new towels as they all looked dirty still. The bathroom had a smell, and manager tried to blame me for broken tv even though I’ve never used it

The place was pretty clean but the walls were paper thin so you can hear everyone in surrounding rooms. Parking is sparse, and someone blocked our car so in the morning the property manager had to knock on room doors to get the guy to move his car. It could be worse but it could also be better, and you do get what you pay for.

Motel for the LBGP
Emergency motel to the rescue! I booked a room to attend the Long Beach Grand Prix but received a call the day before my arrival telling me my room was canceled because someone damaged it. I was panicked and quickly located Sunshine Motel. It was expensive but everything else was double. So I took a chance. I found the place to be old but clean. The room was fine, the bed was okay and it was quiet. The manager is behind a screen but was friendly and helpful. The neighborhood is fine with a number of food choices. It worked out well.

Clean but loud
The staff was really nice and the place was pretty clean. Unfortunately there were a few problematic. There were no drawers or closet in my room. I had no where to put my clothes. I didn't mind living out of my suitcase but that could be a deal breaker for some. I know this was not any fault of the staff but the walls were paper thin and a number of my fellow vacationers seemed to be having domestic disputes. I think its one of those you get what you pay for things, and like I said the

The person running the front desk forgot to ask for my credit card when I first checked in earlier in the day. Which I thought was strange but figured maybe the payment will be handled online or something. So he then waits till nearly 10 o clock at night to come pounding on my door to tell me I didn’t pay. We were in bed asleep and the knocks were loud, constant, and aggressive until I was able to make it to the door. Completely unprofessional way to handle a situation like this. And the way they were asking me about it made it sound like I was trying to con them or something. Ridiculous. Definitely never staying here again.
