Dirty
Ants in hallways next to restaurant. Skirting boards in room dirty, wall dirty very run down hotel. Needs Alex the hotel inspector as it could be a beautiful hotel given time and effort

Great value for money, needed a low price hotel for a short stay and this gutted the bill. Everything was clean and staff very friendly. Breakfast was excellent.

Functional good parking
Great location with plenty of parking. Upstairs restaurant looks recently refurbished and nice choice of breakfast items. The bedrooms require updating and mine did not have a mirror in the bedroom. Suggest if booking at a weekend to request a room not over the function rooms as these can be noisy. Or take earplugs. Staff all helpful and polite.

The room was a good size for the 5 of us but smelt a little smoky. There was a wedding on which meant a lot of noise until late. The lighting in the room was much dimmer than I would like.

Great staff. Very friendly in the restaurant, going the extra mile to supply an 'off the menu' vegetarian dish for my children.

Dated and don’t expect a decent sleep
Dated hotel, dated furniture , cracked tiles, toilet seat didn’t fit the toilet, carpet held together by sellotape , oh don’t expect any sleep before 1am on a Friday or Saturday night . And finally , none of us were interested in cleaners holiday plans etc , but they were happy to loudly discuss outside our rooms early in the morning .

Property looked dated, the ensuite facilities were very poor with a leaking shower screen, the whole room could do with some fresh decorating and modernisation. I expected better from this hotel.

Needs a spruce up.
Bed was amazingly comfy. Rooms badly need maintenace. 1 of the lamps didn't work in the room, and the light round the bathroom mirror flickered terribly with only 1 section of it actually lighting up. The walls were chipped, the curtain pole wasn't secured to the wall so moved when opening & closing the curtains. The lighting in the corridor to the room was so dim you could barely see. The sealant around the bath and sink was all cracked. The entrance looked immaculate like it had been done up. The rooms (at least the 1 we were in) most need attention. We were woken at 6.30am by glass being tipped into the bin out the back of the hotel!
