I liked the hotel. I liked the location. Staff very kind. Bar/restaurant had odd hours. Not open every day? No housekeeping. At this point in COVID it seems odd.

    great for business and pleasure

The Harris Suite was spacious, inviting, well kept and the view was spectacular. I do wish that the tv had netflix available. The room service staff was gracious and efficient. the valet service and the front desk staff was also gracious and very helpful. I can't wait to come back and stay!

    Not worth the money.

Hotel staff was unorganized. Our in-room phone was not operational. Staff members also just wander into rooms without knocking, we had a worker just randomly come into our room while we were both undressed at that and tell us “you’re supposed to be gone”, when we still had two days left on our reservation.

    Top price but mediocre facility

The stay is so-so and certainly falls short of what to be expected from Fairmont. The front desk is fine, bed is comfortable, and location is convenient. But refrigerator is broken. AC control is so out of date its fan has no Auto mode, i.e. it's always on. Broken piece of furniture not repaired. And no USB port by bedside.

Average and so much room for improvement

Nice stay but so much more potential. This is a Fairmont and was a bit tired. The room was ok. Nice towels but drab decor. The sheets and bedding were very average. Lobby is dated. Staff was nice but could have been more friendly. Had breakfast at the restaurant and it was busy and average. A bit of a wait to have someone come and say hello. So much more potential, here. I have a reservation for Fairmont in Boston in June but will likely cancel.

    Find a different hotel

I understand that hotels have to comply with federal covid rules. However, if bars and restaurants are closed, other amenities are closed, the price of the room should be lowered. This hotel accepts pets. I was in a room that was connected to a room with a yappy dog. 24/7 the dog barked. I love animals but they do not belong in hotels. If they are there should be a certain floor and a few rooms where they are allowed. I would hate to be allergic to dogs and stay in a room directly after one has left. There was no place downstairs where you could buy water, soda, snacks. My earrings also disappeared while I was out of the room one evening. Diamond earrings. At this point it may be my fault but I’m pretty sure where I left them when I left the room and upon returning they were gone. Would not stay here again, partly because of barking, partly because there is nowhere to buy water, etc..., partly because I still have not found my earrings.

Dirty pillows, basic amenities lacking, Zero stars

The good: Good restaurant on premises. Nice valet parking service. Friendly people. I really did not want to write this review. I did not want to sound mean. I wanted to be kind. I want other covid weary travelers not to go through what we went through. The bad: Basic amenities missing in the room. No coffee. No water bottles. Minimal towels etc. Terrible TV with remote that does not work. Wifi is supposed to be free in the US. Don't be cheap. Before the pandemic, I used to stay in hotels at least 50 nights a year. Never seen a hotel charge for Wifi in last three-to-five years. The basic wifi should be free. In the name of Covid, don't shot change the guests. You are the probably the only high-end hotel that does not give water bottles and coffee in the room these days. We just stayed at Hyatt place and the service was 10x better. Finally: The pillows were dirty. Coffee stains everywhere. I shudder to think what else it could have been. Puke? Feathers coming out of the pillow. I have stayed at Fairmont in San Fran and San Jose. This was the worst stay in a 3+ to 4 star hotel in the US for us. For the first trip since last March, I wanted it to be a nice hotel and this was a complete disappointment.
