The Lowry is a fantastic venue. It is compact, the acoustics are great. It is a very well designed and a much pleasanter experience than the crush you get at bigger venues. Good access by public transport, but had to stay overnight nearby.

Salford has a lot to offer I did think it was closer to Old Trafford this was not the case. Its on a lively street as you walk towards St. Peters with nice bars, eating places and the Opera house.

A nice part (or near neighbour) of Manchester. Easy to understand why so many new luxury tower blocks going up here.
