I like that it is less crowded and touristy than Destin. If you want a nice weekend or weeklong getaway, Fort Walton is great. There is a lot to do nearby - parks to walk in, a beautiful beach, sunset cruises, nice restaurants. Destin is close.

There's nothing better than stepping into that sugary white sand with your bare feet. Just take a deep breath and release any negative emotions and let the ocean belong to you. This is my second time coming to Fort Walton Beach. Very peaceful

There is a German restaurant nearby and many seafood restaurant choices. There are local boat rides for big and small groups. Some offer dolphin watching at sunset. Princess Beach was the best-

Plenty of restaurants and shops. Very close to the beach and Destin. An affordable area for tourists compared to Destin, but is still very close.

The beach was very pretty, but hard to walk on during high tide. Not a lot of waves but I enjoyed the serenity.

The time that we are there, there are alot of seaweeds that makes the beach look dirty, but lots of baby fishes
"We just love the convenience to the beach. Although the property is older, if your family is a no frills, enjoy life on the beach kinda outfit, this place is great. The pizza, wings, and burgers aren't gourmet, but taste pretty good. Renting Umbrella and Chairs for the day is reasonably priced. We stay here whenever we come to Fort Walton."
"We had such a great time as a family. From start to finish, the hotel was very nice, clean, staff very friendly, the amenities were great. Plus it is out of the traffic of Destin, but close enough to uber to everything. We also loved going to the Okaloosa Pier and the views were great. We would definitely book here again."
