This hotel was in a more residential neighborhood. We were able to walk to a square in less than 5 minutes. The squire had plenty of places to eat. The hotel was comfortable and the staff were very friendly. Most staff took time to answer our questions with a smile even though English was not their first language. They had bellhops; this might be common in Brazil but I was really surprised given the cost of the hotel. We were also surprised with the complimentary breakfast. They had a full buffet breakfast with lot of hot items and a wide selection of fresh fruit. If we every go to Rio again, we will try to stay here.

Um hotel clássico, com apartamentos grandes, estilo antigo, muito bem cuidado. Café da manhã muito variado, com muitas opções e atendimento nota 10 (obrigado, Sr. Nunes). Recepção extremamente atenciosa e gentil (obrigado, Fabiane e Arthur!). Localização excelente, muito próximo de bons restaurantes e da estação do metrô (Largo do Machado). Tudo sob o olhar atento do proprietário, o simpático nonagenário Don Manoel.
