8/10 Very good

Good location, small room
My wife and I both liked and ultimately recommend Alda as a place you should stay, but there are some caveats travelers should know about. I would not classify Alda as 4 star. 3 star.
PROS: upscale burger restaurant on site. Nice lobby living room. Very Clean. Beds very comfy. Blackout blinds made the 24 houra of sun seem like only 18 hours of sun. The location is very tousity but perfect. Plenty of kitsch shops, coffee places, bars, and restaurants within a few blocks. Other hotels might get loud music but Alda's block is calm so we did not. Almost everything in the city is walking distance, but we rented a car anyway for day trips and you can feed the meter for an entire day (not just 2 hours) and not worry about garages. Metered parking Sunday is free. Do yourself a favor and rent a small car.
CONS: No fridge. No storage, so you WILL be living out of your suitcase the entire time. The rooms are small, so do NOT bring a checked bag with you unless you plan to climb over it every time you come in. There are no clothes rods. To save space there are wall hooks with coat hangers. The shower folds up in the bathroom. It is a stall with collapsable walls that you open to form a watertight square. So the room doesn't flood but the whole area in front of the toilet gets wet and it has to be folded back against the wall or you can't go to the bathtoom. I guess it saves space but this was very annoying. Also the shower is small at about 1m/3ft square.
