Nice classic New England hotel, needs sprucing

Check in was good. Front desk staff were very friendly. The hotel itself could use an update. I can directly compare this hotel to Amherst College's rival premiere hotel, The Williams Inn. The "old" Williams Inn was left behind and brand new hotel was built from the ground up with all the modern updates and comforts that you'd desire. This hotel, Inn on Boltwood, felt pretty outdated. The walls / ceiling in our suite had peeling paint and ants all over the floor. The elevator is a tiny throwback elevator that can barely fit 3 people with full size luggage. Quaint is nice sometimes, but a fresh coat of paint, ant removal and some modern upgrades would go a long way to keep quaint alive!

Check in and check out were very easy, staff were very accommodating and friendly, the Inn provided an old timey feel, and the restaurant located right in the hotel (30Boltwood) was delicious!!
