It’s what you expect from a motel in a small town. It’s an older property, so keep that in mind. However, I found it clean and fine for a overnight stay.

Clean motel, friendly service. One of the older inns. The only negative is the railroad tracks directly behind our room shakes the whole building and No in-room coffee maker. Great price for an overnighter. Would definitely stay here again.

This is an economy hotel that has no frills but is very clean and the gentleman who checked us in was very nice. The room was large, the bed was firm. I prefer a bit aofter but it wasnt horrible. This hotel is VERY near the railroad tracks and trains cime through often. You can feel theem coming before hearing them.

The desert inn was the best place I stayed on my trip. The staff are so kind and helpful and even stayed late for me when I knew I wouldn't arrive by check in time. They saved me from another cold night in the woods! The rooms aren't the biggest or fanciest but they're very nice and absolutely cannot be beat for the price. Would absolutely stay again and will only ever stay here if I'm in Van Horn.

Had to find a place to spend the night before resuming the long drive across Texas! The gentleman at the front desk was super nice and friendly and the room clean and comfy. My needs were met.

The bathroom vanity was broken on bottom door and water stained. They could do with a few "soft" pillows as I woke with a neck ache. But overall it was very clean and comfy and I would stay there again and the price was great!!!

You won’t find a better deal for the price. No frills but it was clean and quiet. It’s close to the train tracks, but I always bring ear plugs because I am a light sleeper. It didn’t seem to bother me. I travel about 100 nights a year, I would definitely stay here again.

Desert Inn is a wonderful place to stay. Clean, friendly, covenient and the price is right! The bed was comfortable. Usually I don’t like window air conditioners but this one was quiet and efficient- warmed the room in about 2 minutes. It’s an old-fashion style motel which is nice because it’s easy to unload suitcases for the night. Definitely would stay there again.

Lovely stay, well maintained for an almost historic place. Definitely captures the vibe of a small town in a nice structure. I enjoyed mysay. Walls seem thicker than the newer inns and hotels.
