All the staff were lovely, and really helpful. The room was big and the balcony was nice to sit out on. It’s up a hill so be prepared for that. Restaurant was ok, I preferred eating out for more choice. We had room service which was great, big portions. Really enjoyed our stay there and would return.

Unfortunately our stay was rather disappointing. Our double room would have been fine for one night, or a single person, but not a couple for 5 nights. It was very cramped, rather shabby, and the smallest shower room I’ve ever seen. It should not have been allocated to us. The service was good, if slow at times. The food was very good, breakfast was good value for money. The pool is lovely, even if you have to cross a busy road to get to it. A zebra crossing would be far safer! Unfortunately, we left a day earlier than we’d booked for, when we told reception we were leaving early because we were uncomfortable, they were not concerned in the slightest. We won’t stay here again, the great food, good service and lovely views do not make up for the negatives for us.

Absolutely magnificent commanding views of the mediterranean from the rooms, bar and restaurant. Very friendly staff who all spoke both English and Spanish. To my mind it has a lovely sort of golden age of Britain feel to it, which made me quite nostalgic. It's probably fair to say that we had a four, rather than a five star experience overall, but Gibraltar isn't overloaded with very high-end hotels, so I can highly recommend it. If we return to Gibraltar we won't hestitate to return to The Rock.

The only improvement to suggest would be manager in dining room. I had to ask for everything and not overly friendly in the bar area. Decided to go elsewhere our third night. Iconic hotel wonderful staff and good clean room and a wonderful powerful shower. The only thing I was disappointed with was the breakfast, limited choice and birds pecking at the pastries inside the hotel. An excellent stay overall and would not hesitate to return.

Great room with lovely view of the sea. Staff were friendly and there was free on-site parking. My only criticism is that we arrived at 14:50 and were able to do the check-in paperwork, but were told to return in 10 minutes to get the key. I can understand not letting someone into their room if it is hours early, but making someone wait 10 minutes—standing at the desk and then getting the key cards at exactly 15:00 was annoying.
