Beds were extremely hard, room is dark, the window was very small and let in no light. The hotel overall was slightly dated but no major issues.

4-Bedded Room
this hotel is excellent.i never come across a 4-bedded in a very spacious room.the bed are comfy.
probably a 10 minutes walk from the train station. have eateries nearby that open till very late.staff are excellent providing the services and took the effort to direct all my questions.
only just 2 minor minus point, they do not provide parking, so u need to find nearby.the adaptors are using 2 parallel plug type, hence a travel adaptor become handy.

Bad experience
We had a very bad experience in this hotel. Room was very old, a lot of mosquitos, no wifi and breakfast almost finished when we arrived.

There was only shampoo and body soap, so it would have been nice to have a conditioner

I found the staff to be efficient and helpful but not friendly. But I don't need a friend, I need an efficient and helpful staff. I found the room to be very small, I've been in smaller, but this would have been a crunch for 2 people, fine for just me. Neighborhood was safe, I went to store to buy next morning's breakfast at 10pm and didn't worry. I would recommend this place but with the above caveats.

Spacious room, great location
We got their Superior Quadruple Room for my family of 4 adults and it was more than enough space for everyone. The bathroom is roomy as well. It's a few minutes walk from Taipei Metro Zhongshan Elementary School station and several bus stops. What we love best is it's proximity to Shuangcheng Street Night Market where we tend to go back every night. There are also several convenience stores downstairs to buy quick snacks. They also use an automated checkout system which was quick and easy to use.
A few cons: the shower in the bathroom leaks water after every use so it gets flooded a bit but it's not a major inconvenience. And there's only one pillow provided per bed and the blanket's material is itchy. The hotel is also not the newest. Lastly, one of the receptionists was not the friendliest during check-in but the other ones we met were accommodating.
Overall, it's a great hotel and we would come back again next time we're in Taipei.
