6/10 Good

Disappointing
POD was clean and had a good use of space. We stayed on a Monday night, the pub did not serve food on Mondays, only found this out reading my booking confirmation, obviously after booking but thankfully before we arrived. Had a beautiful meal at The Cherington on route, would totally recommend, great hospitality. POD was well heated and also equipped with air con which was good. We booked a superior pod although not sure what made it superior. The bed and pillows were terribly uncomfortable, you could feel every spring in the mattress and the pillows had barely any filling, sleep was awful. The kitchen cupboard had no handle on it, broken. The shower was also terrible as either scolding hot or freezing cold, no water pressure and shower rail broken. Only one mug in cupboard so had to enter another empty cabin to find another mug for tea. Curtains were caught all over and looked shabby. Laminate flooring obviously been damp and had started lifting. Not sure why this pod was more expensive than the others at all. We paid thinking it was the most luxurious of the lot. Photos on hotels.com really didn’t show what was to be expected. Completely understand the concept of glamping as we’ve stayed in many yurts, shepherds huts etc this was by far the most disappointing. What a shame.

We'll be back
The glamping pod was really cosy and the bed very comfortable for a good nights sleep. It was great to have an ensuite toilet and shower and the cooking facilities too. The pub staff were friendly and helpful, good real ales and tasty food. There's a good choice of local walks from the door too. All in all it was good value and we would definitely go back again.

8/10 Very good

Although there was no one available at the promised 4pm check in time, we sat in the pub garden waiting for the pub to open. We assumed that the key left in the door in one of the pods was ours. We ate in the pub and enjoyed a very reasonably priced meal. The pod was ideal for a one night stay.

2/10 Poor

Local area is beautiful. There was no communication re check in or check out. Only because we ‘bumped’ into a guy that was having his day off could we check in. POD was a little grubby.

Pleasant pod
All you need I. The pod pleasant stay, nice area, lovely pub, No food served on a Monday and unfortunately we went on a Monday, but a pizza van is in the car park from 18.00 - 20.30 , this should be in your information. The pod could do with a new Mattress quite uncomfortable and a deep clean , it wasn’t dirty just dusty , sheets and towels lovely and clean as was bathroom, the toaster was very dirty would not use apart from that would go again.

Lovely pub and accommodation
Received a warm friendly welcome. The pod was great, exceeded our expectations. Luckily the pub had live music on the night we stayed, so a big bonus.

Stunning.
We arrived later than expected due to bad traffic on our route, and were welcomed with such a lovely welcome, and they had also kept the kitchen staff for us incase we were hungry. The landlady, Becky, was so friendly and showed us to our beautiful pod. We were welcomed by 4 pigs running over to the side of their gate. Lovely location, lovely people, lovely food, and most importantly, lovely beer!
