Unique experience of a more traditional japanese house, walls are thin to the point where you can hear the people walking around next door though.

Nice spot for a short stay. No kitchen really, but there is a shared fridge and microwave. Right next to a school where loud kids play baseball into the late evening so if you’re an early sleeper might not be the best retreat. Really convenient for the bikes. The bedding is thin so if you’re used to a fluffy bed, not your cup of tea. The men only have one very small bathroom area (the women’s is much larger and nicer), but the shower is hot and powerful. Overall a nice, simple stay with perfect access to the rest of town.

For our one night stay, it was good to get away from the TV and focus on why we were there in the first place- to see Mt Fuji up close!

The location is 3-5 mins walk from Kawaguchiko Bus Stn. The staff is friendly, toilet and room are clean, all basic facilities are available. The wall is thin between room, quiet or not really depends on who is staying next to you. Will recommend friends to book this guesthouse.

Great place for Fuji viewing
Great place to stay for the traditional Japanese experience with a screened room, low table and make your own futon beds. Staff are very friendly and helpful. Room had air-con, TV and kettle whilst upstairs there was a microwave and free water/coffee. Shared bathroom/toilet area is not as up to date as it could be. Very close to the train/bus station and about 10-15 minute walk to the very pretty lake. Best to view Fuji first thing in the morning before the sky gets hazy.

Not the best
Unfortunately we did not like the stay there. Is a hostel type and for the price payed. Out of our 3 weeks in Japan that was probably the worst. Just was not for us
