This is a GEM

Great stay for our family of four adults. Location was central and close to train station. Minutes away from restaurants, both large ones (Shibuya Stream) and smaller family-owned ones. Breakfast was wonderful—a great variation and of very good quality. Rooms are very clean (newer hotel) with ample space for Tokyo standards. Daily cleaning was done with no additional charge. Laundromat was a plus. Checking-in was a breeze.

The room was smaller than expected but have the essentials that we need. Room was clean and the bed was comfortable. The hotel has a mandatory room cleaning policy on the 4th night to make sure the rooms are sanitary, which we love. We love a clean room! We love the breakfast buffet but we wish there is more variety in the menu. We stayed for 5 nights but we got tired of the same breakfast menu on the 3rd day. The hotel is conveniently located. It is just right the JR station and just minutes walk to Shibuya Scramble.

The JR-East Hotel Mets at Shibuya exceeded my expectations. After leaving an APA hotel in Ueno, I noticed a huge difference being able to control the room temperature here. The room was clean, small (expected), and had everything we needed. One minor annoyance was the outlets—converters and heavier chargers didn’t sit firmly, though a phone charger was provided and helped. The bed was decent (the APA bed was slightly better), but being able to sleep in a cooler room during 25+ degree days made a big difference. Staff was helpful, and check-in/check-out was simple. The location was great—about 7 minutes to Shibuya Crossing and 250 meters to JR lines. For the price, the room and location met expectations, and I’d stay here again.

I liked the convenient location of this hotel, close to Shibuya Station , many choices for eating and shopping. Room was very clean and staff was very attentive and helpful as it is customary of Japanese people. Breakfast was Japanese style and it could be improved by adding Western style breafast. More choices of bakery items, cheeses, yogurts and jams.

Near yet away in Shibuya

Getting to the hotel was confusing, as there are levels to Shibuya centre. And coming from the station Google did drive us all over the place. But once you got the hang of the area it was pretty easy walk to the hotel. Connected to the Shibuya station and the sakura stage building. The hotel is in a quiet lane yet is ten minutes away from the scramble, and the shopping area. For people taking the narita airport limousine, the stop is it's a 8-10 minutes walk from the hotel. The hotel room (ours was a twin room) was impressively bigger than the ones we stayed in Tokyo. Overall a really nice hotel

After experiencing splendid Japanese hospitality for 3 weeks, the self check in felt quite impersonal. The room, likewise, was basic with none of the nice personal touches we had elsewhere. While a short walk from the Shibuya station , the route was a bit confusing, with all the construction and overhead walkways. We loved exploring Cat Street.

The cleaning staff was super friendly and helpful. Overall of the staff was very polite and accommodating. The train station is literally right in front of the hotel and the surrounding have great food choices. I will definitely come back if I ever visit Japan again
