We reported maintenance needed on the thermostat. No reason to believe that it wasn't fixed after our stay. Very friendly staff.

The Palapa House and Nautitime tours
Super responsive friendly staff at the palapa house. If I had a question.... I receive an answer from Shane in less than 5 minutes.... maybe less than 1 actually. We left a suitcase in our room and Shane immediately offered to take it to the shipping dock for no charge and Randy from Nautitime Tours (amazing snorkel and other tours) offered to pick it up and bring it to us..... amazing service.... great people.... wonderful time!

5 Days on Ambergris Caye
We were met by someone from Palapa at the time we said would arrive and were given our key for our room. The room was initially disappointing as it was fairly compact. The bed however was really comfy and the location was good. It is right on the seafront and is close enough to downtown San Pedro to walk easily but far enough out so that it is not noisy to sleep. There were also a plethora of nice restaurants to eat at nearby as well as a good bakery for breakfast about a 10 minute walk away. In terms of value for money, Palapa house had a lot less to offer that the other places we stayed in on this trip but I guess there is a premium for staying on Ambergris Caye. Its plus points are its location, wifi and a nice pool (which seemed very public but didn't feel that way when it in). Its negative points are that there is no room service (so no made beds and no one at the property to ask stuff too) and that we were asked to empty the rubbish ourselves at the end of the stay.

We really enjoyed the Palapa House. A couple days the music from the gym was over the top and way too early. We did speak to Shane about it and after that it was not loud in the am. At night it is off by 9pm. The comfort in the Palapa House was great, nice bed, nice bathroom (excellent shower), pool was nice too. Really close to everything. Shane was very responsive and full of information. The place is very clean, never saw a bug. The rest of the staff are very friendly as well and do a great job keeping the property clean. Enjoyed sitting out on the porch. Thanks for a great stay!!
