I was looking to have a great time in Sao Francisco do Sul. When I saw the description & pics of POUSADA SOLAR DA BEIRA, I loved it and made reservations for two nights.
When we got there and walked in the room I noticed that the window did not have a view, well actually it did have a view...TO AN UGLY CONCRETE & STONE WALL.
The "Queen size bed" was also very disappointing. It was TWO TWIN BEDS together, making this hard to sleep on having a "CRACK" between the beds.
The TV was a 1980's TV that was placed high to the right side of the bed making it impossible to watch when in bed.
The bathroom was not very clean and the sheets in the bed were ripped from over use.
When I complained to the front desk telling them that the room is NOT what they are representing in Travelocity, they started to argue that that is the room. I showed them the pictures and still argue. They said that what I was showing the was a SUITE and that I did not reserve a suite.
I demanded to change my room or I would leave to another hotel. They said that it would not be possible to change room that night, but that for the following night they would.
I the morning we went to the reception to get a key for "the better room". The lady at the desk said that they did not have anything available...that she was sorry and we had to stay in the same room.
I told them I was checking out that I was not staying in that horrible room, so I went upstairs...Oh by the way, the elevator did not work.
