Absolutely no good staying at jewel grand hotel,
My stay was terrible hotel front desk very poor customer service. Too much stairs to go for breakfast lunch and dinner wasn’t satisfying overall. I wouldn’t recommend any of my friends and family to jewel grand.

Hotel did not give us room type we booked
Overall, we had a nice stay, but we were not provided the type of room I had booked. I booked a 2 bedroom oceanfront suite and upon arrival the hotel handed me paperwork for a 3-bedroom garden-view villa. I noticed the difference in type of room and asked about it, and it was only then that they said they had "upgraded" us to a 3 bedroom. When I explained that we didn't need more than 2 bedrooms and what really mattered to me was being oceanfront (as I had booked!), the front desk attendant called someone and delayed saying anything to us until we agreed to take the garden view room. I was disappointed as we live in the Midwest and don't often see the ocean, so I really wanted an oceanfront suite, which I had booked! I felt the "upgrade" was really a downgrade in that respect and I did not appreciate how it was handled. That said, the property, pools, watersports, and dining options were all very nice.

Definitely not a 4.5 star resort. Overall was decent as a 3 star hotel and the major pro was the 2 bedroom rooms. Beach had garbage on it and we had to ask daily to have it cleaned. Food was pretty good but they constantly got the orders wrong. Elevator broke in 2 buildings while we stayed for 1 week, leaving guests 11 story walk ups. 2 bedroom was spacious but very noisy as the resort is very close to the highway. Would not return.
