- Downtown Dallas

Bounded by the freeway loop of four interstate highways, Downtown Dallas is rich with cultural and historical attractions and jam- packed with restaurants, nightlife and shopping. In the center are gleaming skyscrapers and Dealey Plaza, where the Sixth Floor Museum memorializes John F Kennedy. North of the plaza lies the West End Historic District, its warehouses transformed into eclectic shops and restaurants. East of plaza is Dallas Arts District, the city’s cultural center, home to world-class institutions like the Dallas Museum of Art, the Nasher Sculpture Center and the Tramwell and Margaret Crow Collection of Asian Arts. The jazz clubs and funky shops that define Deep Ellum are just east, under the interstate overpass.

Transportation in Dallas

The main “entrance” by air is through Dallas-Fort Worth International airport and Love Field. These airports serve both international and domestic flights, and are well connected to the city central by shuttle and car. If you’re coming in by car, then the I-35, 75 south, I-45 and I-20 are the main highways that get you into the city.
