Rome Accommodation

This richly historic city of Italy is like a world-history book come to live, with ancient monuments, majestic palaces, millennium-old churches, all of which can only be found in Rome. Use our website and you’ll find that Rome accommodation is abundant and pretty easy to find.

One of the major activities in Rome is exploring the different aspects of the city by visiting the multitude of landmarks. Structures like the Colosseum represent ancient Rome while over 900 churches represent ‘catholic Rome’.

Things to see

Just by walking around, you will see the ancient glories that this old city has to offer. Look up once in a while and you’ll find some well built roof gardens, various sculptures, paintings and religious icons attached to outside walls, making excellent photo opportunities. The area between piazza Navona and Tiber river will reveal quaint shops where artisans still ply their trade.

World-class museums here are a must, as the collections of art are ones you will not see anywhere else in the world. Galleria Nazionale d’Arte Moderna is where you can find Italian masterpieces by artists like Monet and Van Gogh. Then for some of the most treasured antique Roman and Greek sculptures, take a trip down to the Capitoline Museum.

Hotels in Rome

Travellers will love how Rome has hotels for every taste and budget. There are choices that include expensive hotels with excellent amenities, cosy hostels, simply B&Bs and even camp sites for those roughing it out. So no matter your preference or budget, there’s lodging for you in the city. You’ll also find that getting around is pretty easy by foot and for less accessible areas, a taxi will do the job nicely. Driving is recommended only if you’re confident in your driving skills, otherwise it’s best to stick with public transport.

Where to stay

The Modern Centre of Rome is the city’s hub of shopping and nightlife, making it a great place for visitors who constantly think ‘the night is still young’. This district is also connected by the metro system, but most of the major attractions can be reached by walking. Accommodation here includes budget, mid-range and luxurious hotels suited for most travellers.

Visitors who prefer charming atmospheres created by streets lined with rustic cafes and restaurants will love Old Rome. This district is home to attractions like the Pantheon, a former temple of amazing architecture, several historical squares and several museums. Accommodation here include B&Bs, apartments and mid-range hotels.

How to get to Rome

There are ferry services to and from Barcelona, Tunis, Toulon, Porto-Vecchio, Olbia and Sardinia. Some ferries can run late so allow some buffer time when making travel arrangements. If you’re driving into Rome, all roads leading off the Grande Raccordo Anulare (GRA) will get you there. (All roads lead to Rome). Leonardo da Vinci International Airport is Rome’s main airport, and is well connected to the city via public transport.
