We had a great time in Budapeste , we had 2 walking tours booked and I think it's a must to do. Another special thing we did was to have a dinner in a cruise with live music and really good food, it was very romantic and the views did not disappoint!

Budapest was my favorite city on a lengthy eastern europe trip, the ruin bars, the friendly folks, the vibrant international melting pot, the authentic hungarian food with amazing ingredients. The great public transit system and beautiful riverfront

Budapest is wonderful, a real surprise to someone thinking Vienna would be difficult to better. The Budapest old town covers a large area and has a great blend of modern living with architecturally, historically and culturally fascinating landmarks

Loads to see. Take comfortable shoes for walking though public transport is good. Try a thermal spa. Loved our dinner cruise with 'piano battle' for our special occasion. Do the Terror Museum and Dohány Synagogue. Take hankies. Spend a day in Pest.

Too many tourists in the Central Market don't have lunch there it is overpriced. Downstairs is good to buy food but upstairs the street food is too expensive. You are better off going to a restaurant. The Metro is easy and the buses are great too.

Budapest has grown so much since my last visit 5 years ago. Many old buildings in the Buda hill are being restored and some are already accessible to visitors. Definitely a must visit in the next couple of year. Public transit is also much better.

Good
Was expecting to see blue Danube River but turned out the water was yellowish green. The building at both sides of the river looked great though. Beware taxi at Keleti tried to slaughter foreign visitor, asking for 35 EUR for a trip around 8 EUR.
"Overall, this was exactly what I expected. The breakfast was great, the transport links exemplary. The view I got of the parliament building was incredible. Wow.
I just wish that water was provided in your room rather than down at reception. I am pretty immobile and so going to fetch water constantly was not ideal. That is literally the only downside. "
"Kempinski Budapest has to be in the running for the best hotel in all of Budapest. It's a block from Vaci street shopping and only a couple blocks from the Danube river. Kempinski has all the amenities one could ever need and the location is top notch. Kempinski Budapest gets my highest recommendation. "
"A nice modern hotel, in a very convenient location, within walking distance of all of the major attractions. The hotel was was very well kept and staff were always extremely helpful."
"It's our 7 times staying there, always good, and love the interior, only this time during check in, some error with system, so it took 15 minutes to check in, and one of the receptionist gave me completely different room number so I had to go back down to get a new room keys, interesting"
"Superb location - right next to the beautiful Fisherman’s Bastion and Buda Castle. It was so convenient to see the Danube River and the stunning Parliament building any time of the day and night.
The rooms were comfortable spacious clean and cozy. The bathroom was big clean and water pressure was perfect.
The Lang Grill restaurant was great- great views and excellent food. Breakfast was excellent
Overall one of the best hotel experiences we have had. Very impressed and will definitely recommend to friends "
